ABOUT THE JOB

An onsite role, responsible for Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) operational support and the oversight and implementation of a corporate industrial hygiene (IH) program. This is primarily an IH role, which also has some site EHS responsibilities as well. Looking for a well-rounded EHS professional with deep expertise in IH. The individual will be responsible for identifying, evaluating and controlling environmental and occupational health hazards in the
workplace. The ideal candidate will have strong technical expertise, a proactive mindset and a commitment to employee wellbeing.

WHAT YOU’LL DO
  • Industrial Hygienist:
    • Conduct qualitative and quantitative exposure assessments for chemical, physical and biological agents
    • Perform workplace inspections and hazard assessments to identify potential risks to employee health
    • Develop and implement exposure control plans, including engineering controls, administrative controls and PPE recommendations
    • Manage and interpret air, noise, heat, RF and other sampling data to make recommendations on a hierarchy of controls to prevent harm to employees
    • Maintain IH monitoring equipment and ensure proper calibration
    • Prepare clear, concise reports and present findings to management and stakeholders
  • EHS Operations:
    • Assist accident/incidents investigations, analyze root causes, and implement preventative actions
    • Serve as EHS interface who liaises with employees, managers, customers, auditors and regulators
    • Identify workplace safety hazards and conditions for job-related tasks by performing and documenting safety inspections
    • Recognize requirements and ensure compliance to safety programs and standards including hazard communication, fall protection, respiratory protection, lockout/tag-out (LOTO), machine guarding, power & hand-held tools, electrical, emergency response, and chemical management
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • 5+ years of experience implementing and overseeing environmental, health and safety programs
  • Ability to identify risks when processes are still in a digital state
  • Experience in 29 CFR 1910 General Industry and Cal/OSHA
  • Experience in 40 CFR Parts 260-279 Hazardous Waste Management
  • Must be a U.S. Person due to required access to U.S. export controlled information or facilities
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, effective at engaging with leadership, regulators, front-line staff, and third-party partners
  • Capability to manage multiple activities/projects and deadlines
  • U.S. Person status is required as this position needs to access export controlled sites
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Collaborative individual who is most comfortable working in a team environment on a shared task
  • Laser Safety Officer (LSO) certification
  • Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH) or working towards certification
  • Experience in R&D and manufacturing environments
  • High energy individual who craves the opportunity to build a system vs just manage one
  • Natural tendency towards challenging the status quo to find new and novel ways to improve EHS management systems
  • A person who leans into challenges instead of saying ‘no’ and walking away
  • Very strong technical writing skills
  • Willingness to travel (25%)
US Salary Range
$113,000$149,000 USD

 

The salary range for this role is an estimate based on a wide range of compensation factors, inclusive of base salary only. Actual salary offer may vary based on (but not limited to) work experience, education and/or training, critical skills, and/or business considerations. Highly competitive equity grants are included in the majority of full time offers; and are considered part of Anduril's total compensation package.
