Job Description

The Opportunity: 

The Associate Manager, Games will be working on the Global Brand Team to deliver product marketing strategies that will effectively engage and maximize an adult-targeted consumer base. Working alongside the Manager, Games, multi-disciplinary cross-functional colleagues across the company, and external stakeholders, the Global Associate Marketing Manager will drive product development, while ensuring that the brand has exceptional marketing support—creating unique and strategic assets and product marketing campaigns that can be maximized at retail and on ecommerce.

What Your Impact Will Be: 

• Ensure all product marketing projects are supported by business strategy, objectives and insights
• Support communications with regional commercial marketing teams, which include:

  • Updating regional marketing teams and lines of business regularly to ensure needs are being met
  • Support development of global marketing campaigns for execution at a local level

• Work closely with the Product Design, Packaging, Development teams to bring innovative and compelling toys to market on time and on budget backed by Consumer Insights
• Collaborate with Manager, Games in gaining buy-in for global product strategies at all levels, as well as executional commitment from internal partners to activate across key markets and key lines of business
• Present product lines and strategy to key internal and external stakeholders to ensure alignment
• Prepare for and deliver presentations that convey a strategic message to large audiences, presenting with confidence to drive brand strategy and products
• Brief and develop marketing assets
• Monitor key trends, brands and competitors’ performance in all markets
• Lead global business reporting and analysis
• Work with other Mattel Global Brand teams to share plans and ‘best practices’
• Act as point of contact for brand inquiries and dissemination of brand information and assets

Qualifications

What We’re Looking For: 

• 5+ years (2 years with MBA) experience in marketing, preferably in product development
• Experience with company/product/marketing that is rooted in consumer trends
• Experience in interfacing with external license partners
• Thorough understanding of marketing mix and KPIs
• Experience analyzing data and managing financials
• Ability to synthesize data and pull insights to create recommendations
• Strong skills presenting in front of large groups
• Highly organized, independent and detail oriented with strong follow up skills
• Strong time management, planning and project execution skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build solid collaborative relationships
• Strong PowerPoint creation and presentation skills, proficiency in Outlook, Word and Excel
• Must be comfortable working in a demanding, challenging, and dynamic environment with a knack for embracing ambiguity and change, while focusing on solutions and best paths forward

The annual base salary range for this position is between $110,000 and $125,000.
**This range is indicative of projected hiring range, however annual base salary will be determined based on a candidate’s work location, skills and experience. Mattel offers competitive total pay programs, comprehensive benefits, and resources to help empower a culture where every employee can reach their full potential.
