The Opportunity

This attorney will be based in our San Jose headquarters and will work on a broad range of revenue producing enterprise licensing and sales matters, involving Adobe’s cloud-based services, on-premise software, and professional services – areas that are significant to Adobe's success.

What You'll Do

Day to day, in this role we review and negotiate contracts, provide legal counsel to Sales and Sales Management, and collaborate with other internal groups (such as Product teams, Privacy/Security teams, and Consulting Services teams) on a variety of topics including intellectual property, commercial terms, risk analysis, and the effects of applicable laws.

We participate in or co-lead a handful of projects, such as template creation, job aid creation, trainings, etc.

What You Need to Succeed

  • JD Degree
  • License to practice law
  • Ideally 2-3 years of relevant practical experience
  • Familiarity with AI and privacy issues (ex: Gen AI, GDPR), education issues (ex: FERPA), and healthcare issues (ex. HIPAA, Medicare) is a plus
  • Ability to understand technologies that we license
  • Excellent client management skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several  U.S. geographic markets, and we pay differently based on those defined markets. The U.S. pay range for this position is $100,900 -- $196,300 annually. Pay within this range varies by work location and may also depend on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for the job location during the hiring process.

At Adobe, for sales roles starting salaries are expressed as total target compensation (TTC = base + commission), and short-term incentives are in the form of sales commission plans.  Non-sales roles starting salaries are expressed as base salary and short-term incentives are in the form of the Annual Incentive Plan (AIP).

In addition, certain roles may be eligible for long-term incentives in the form of a new hire equity award.
