About the OpportunityAs we rapidly expand our operations globally, we are looking for a highly motivated middle to senior level legal counsel with experience in Web3 products. In this role, you must have outstanding core legal skills, including research and writing, the ability to assess risk appropriately in newly regulated and unregulated environments as well as where multiple regulatory regimes apply, and a strong work ethic.
What You’ll Be Doing- Provide legal advice and support to the internal stakeholders for new products, new features to existing products, marketing material of Web3 products and changes in applicable regulatory environments
- Draft, maintain, review and negotiate a wide range of documents, including commercial agreements, internal policies, terms of service, legal disclaimers and other templates to be used by business teams
- Liaise and manage external counsel whenever required
- Monitor and advise on legal and compliance developments and their impact on the business
- Maintain and brief internal stakeholders on internal standard operating processes that the Web3 Products legal team own
- Provide general support to the Web3 business teams
- Law degree holder (LLB/ J.D.) qualified in the United States
- Qualified lawyer with 8-15 years of post-qualified experience, with experience in blockchain and other decentralised Web3 products and services, including but not limited to self-custody wallets, dApps and aggregator platforms
- Familiar with software development lifecycles
- Sound judgment on business practices, internal and external stakeholder relationship management and reputational risk
- Familiarity with US sanctions, US Fincen regulations, CFTC regulations and crypto enforcement case law by the DOJ, SEC, CFTC and OFAC (especially with regulatory enforcement against Metamask, Coinbase Wallet, Uniswap).
- Regulatory experience in SEC or Fincen is a plus
- Proficiency in spoken and written English. Ability to understand Chinese is a plus.
- Very well-organized, detail-oriented, presentable and with excellent drafting and communication skills (both verbally and in writing)

OKX Statement:
The salary range for this position is $170,000 to $255,00. The salary offered depends on a variety of factors, including job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and market location. In addition to the salary, a performance bonus and long-term incentives may be provided as part of the compensation package, as well as a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the position offered.
