Job Description

The Associate will work closely with the liquid strategies (High Yield Bonds, Broadly Syndicated Loans, Convertibles, Emerging Market Equities) Fundraise Management leadership. The main focus of the role being the support of the fundraising lifecycle for open-end liquid strategies including Emerging Market Equities, High Yield Bonds, Broadly Syndicated Loans, Convertible Bonds and Global Credit, ensuring all stakeholders in the organization contribute their expertise into the design of the fundraising strategy and coordination of all stakeholder groups in delivering their respective roles throughout each stage of the lifecycle.

In this role, the Associate will:

  • Support the Fundraise Management leadership in all stages of the fundraising lifecycle, collaborating with internal functional partners and business group leads as well as interfacing investors and external advisors.

  • Work with Fundraise Management leadership to develop and implement fundraising strategy for generating investor interest and driving momentum, working closely with Client Relationship Managers to meet quarterly and annual fundraising objectives.

  • Proactively monitor and tactically adapt and adjust the fundraise strategy as circumstances change.

  • Facilitate key decisions throughout fundraise process with all stakeholder groups.

  • Prepare fundraise updates and participate in GCG leadership meetings, as required.

  • Facilitate communication/collaboration with Diligence Management, Marketing & Content, Client Relationship Management, Investor Relations, Legal, Compliance, Finance & Operations and the Investment Teams.

  • Proactively create and manage fund-specific internal/external marketing materials, including talking points, sales training guides.  Collaborate with investment team Investor Relations function on creation of pitchbooks, teasers, case studies and other external marketing materials.

  • Facilitate the planning of road shows, conferences, thought leadership and other fundraise/marketing focused events or communications.

  • Conduct fund/competitor research/limited partner landscape (both qualitative and quantitative).

  • Identify issues and proactively manage risk.

​Qualifications Required:

  • Post graduate degree in finance, business management or another relevant discipline

Experience Required:

  • 2+ years of experience in fundraising for public/private fund strategies with a preference for credit strategies

  • Demonstrated understanding of the LP landscape and preferences, styles and requirements across key regions and investor types

  • Experience using Salesforce, Seismic, Evestment, Preqin and other sales enablement / competitor research tools

  • Strong strategy/product knowledge and ability to communicate (internally) details of fund and fundraise approach

  • Experience in high volume processes and technology enabled solutions.

  • Experience in credit asset class strongly preferred.

  • Institutional fund/strategy marketing sales and support experience strongly preferred.

  • Ability to read, speak and write fluent English.

  • Advanced PowerPoint, Word, and Excel.

Salary Range: $125K - $150K

Our compensation structure is comprised of a base salary and a short-term incentive program (cash bonus). Cash compensation tends to vary based on geography to account for local market conditions and is set to be market competitive. Compensation decisions are based on a number of factors including relative experience, overall years of experience, industry experience, education and designations.
