The Opportunity

This position works out of our Alameda, CA office in the Lingo division and reports to Lingo’s Global Head of Commercial Sales, Strategy & Operations. Lingo is a new biosensing technology that provides users a window into their body. Lingo tracks key biomarkers – such as glucose, ketones, and lactate – to help people make better decisions about their health and nutrition. Biowearable technology will digitize, decentralize, and democratize healthcare, enabling consumers to take control of their own health.

As the Associate Director of Strategic Partnerships, you will establish and manage all Lingo strategic partnerships by building senior level relationships, identifying innovative solutions to maximize growth, and providing ongoing account management including detailed planning and sales forecasting. This position requires direct responsibility managing large, complex, enterprise-level partnerships and experience selling to the ‘C suite’ or senior executives. While this role does not have direct reports, you must be able to influence without authority, and lead cross-divisional collaboration to provide a One Abbott approach to target partners.

This individual will own the holistic Lingo partnerships strategy to generate unique customer value and profitable growth, solicit leads for new partnership opportunities, and establish and nurture partner relationships. You will be responsible for the P&L of each partner and develop strategic plans to deliver on Lingo’s sales targets.

What You’ll Work On

  • Develop a multi-year Lingo Partnerships Strategy that provides unique user value and drives new customer acquisition and profitable business growth.
  • Initiate, develop and manage all Lingo strategic partnerships. Understand the partners’ business goals, strategies and competitive situations, and craft innovate partnership solutions that meet each party’s objectives.
  • Monitor industry trends and changing market regulations and understand the impact to each partnership.
  • Analyze and report out on key performance indicators for strategic partnerships; own each partner P&L and contribute the sales growth required to achieve Lingo’s annual sales targets.
  • Negotiate multi-year partnership contracts.
  • Integrate information from ongoing business analysis and assessment into a multi-year plan and develop an actionable partnerships strategy with short-term tactics to achieve desired results.
  • Lead a cross-functional team to execute partnership initiatives including assigning roles, expectations, responsibilities and timelines. Engage members of the team through ongoing communication, tactical planning and execution.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or related sciences.
  • 10+ years total business experience; minimum 5 years of proven sales or partnerships experience, selling into senior executives.
  • Experience initiating, developing and managing a multi-year partnerships strategy and key strategic partners.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Proven ability to build long term strategic and senior level relationships and demonstrated capability to develop a large complex organization’s strategic long term plan and short term tactics.
  • Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams to meet clearly defined objectives that benefit the company and customer.
  • Ability to effectively communicate, speak in public, and adapt to rapidly changing environments. The candidate must have executive level business and financial acumen, strong team leadership skills and knowledge of all products and services. They should be an expert in ‘getting things done’ within the company.
  • Strong negotiation skills, critical thinking and problem solving skills. Additionally, must have strong internal and external networking skills with robust inter-personal skills that will develop and enhance long term relationships.
  • Comfort working in a fast-paced and high-ambiguity environment that values self-direction, critical thinking, creative problem-solving, rapid learning, and “wearing multiple hats". Excellent organizational, time-management, and prioritization skills.
  • Prior experience in fitness, wellness, wearable or medical device industry
  • Prior managerial experience

The base pay for this position is

$146,700.00 – $293,300.00

In specific locations, the pay range may vary from the range posted.
