The Associate Director of Project Management will support Product and Platform Enablement. This strategic leadership role will guide cross-functional project teams to deliver innovative platform capabilities and products that support enterprise goals. The Associate Director will ensure project alignment with business objectives, champion DevOps governance, and foster a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence.

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of Project Leaders supporting product and platform implementation initiatives
  • Provide strategic leadership in the planning, execution, and delivery of complex product and platform enablement initiatives, ensuring alignment with enterprise objectives and adherence to regulatory and compliance standards.
  • Oversee end-to-end project lifecycle management, ensuring alignment with strategic goals, readiness milestones, and defined key performance indicators
  • Oversee the development, management, and continuous optimization of integrated project plans, schedules, and resource strategies to ensure timely, on-scope delivery of high-impact initiatives.
  • Establish and oversee governance frameworks and best practices for platform and product enablement, ensuring compliance with Humana’s security, regulatory, and quality standards
  • Proactively monitor project performance, identify and mitigate risks, and deliver clear, strategic communications on status, challenges, and outcomes to senior leadership and key stakeholders.
  • Drive a culture of continuous improvement and high performance by promoting collaboration, transparency, and accountability.

Required Qualifications

  • 7+ years of experience in project/program management, preferably in technology, product development, or platform enablement.
  • Demonstrated success managing large-scale, cross-functional projects and teams.
  • Strong understanding of governance frameworks and platform management.
  • Experience with project management tools and methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, etc.).
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to operate in a fast-paced, matrixed environment and manage multiple priorities.
  • Proven analytical and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, computer science, or related field.
  • Master’s degree preferred.
  • Proven leadership experience managing teams of five or more.
  • PMP, Agile, or other relevant project management certifications.
  • Experience in healthcare, insurance, or highly regulated industries.

Additional Information

Work-At-Home Requirements:

  • WAH requirements: Must have the ability to provide a high-speed DSL or cable modem for a home office. Associates or contractors who live and work from home in the state of California will be provided payment for their internet expense.
  • A minimum standard speed for optimal performance of 25x10 (25mpbs download x 10mpbs upload) is required.  
  • Satellite and Wireless Internet service is NOT allowed for this role.
  • A dedicated space lacking ongoing interruptions to protect member PHI / HIPAA information

Interview Format:

As part of our hiring process for this opportunity, we will be using an exciting interviewing technology called HireVue to enhance our hiring and decision-making ability. HireVue allows us to quickly connect and gain valuable information for you pertaining to your relevant skills and experience at a time that is best for your schedule.
 
If you are selected, you will receive correspondence inviting you to participate in a HireVue assessment.  You will have a set of questions and you will provide responses to each question. You should anticipate this to take about 15 - 20 minutes. Your answers will be reviewed, and you will subsequently be informed if you will be moving forward to next round.

Travel: While this is a remote position, occasional travel to Humana's offices for training or meetings may be required.

Pay Range

The compensation range below reflects a good faith estimate of starting base pay for full time (40 hours per week) employment at the time of posting. The pay range may be higher or lower based on geographic location and individual pay will vary based on demonstrated job related skills, knowledge, experience, education, certifications, etc.


 

$126,300 - $173,700 per year


 

This job is eligible for a bonus incentive plan. This incentive opportunity is based upon company and/or individual performance.
