Job Description

  • Define and shape programme strategy, roadmap, and delivery approach in line with organisational goals.
  • Drive alignment across functions, ensuring clarity of objectives, priorities, and expected outcomes.
  • Provide strategic guidance to senior stakeholders to support effective decision-making.
  • Establish and maintain robust governance frameworks to support structured delivery and oversight.
  • Ensure adherence to internal standards, methodologies, and quality expectations.
  • Oversee risk, issue, and dependency management, ensuring timely escalation and resolution.
  • Support programme assurance activities, including reviews and compliance requirements.
  • Lead end-to-end programme delivery, ensuring scope, timelines, budgets, and benefits are achieved.
  • Monitor programme performance through defined metrics and reporting.
  • Facilitate governance forums and enable clear, timely communication of progress and risks.
  • Coordinate cross-functional workstreams, ensuring alignment, accountability, and delivery discipline.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with senior stakeholders and delivery partners.
  • Deliver clear, concise updates, including insights, risks, and recommendations.
  • Lead and mentor teams, fostering high performance, accountability, and collaboration.
  • Identify opportunities to improve processes, tools, and ways of working.
  • Drive efficiency and embed best practices across programme delivery.

Qualifications

  • Degree in project management or equivalent field.
  • Minimum 12 years’ experience delivering large, complex programmes.
  • Proven track record managing multi-workstream initiatives and senior stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical, planning, and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Professional certifications (e.g. PMP, PRINCE2, MSP) are advantageous.
  • Strong programme and project management expertise.
  • Good financial and commercial awareness.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Strong influencing skills with credibility at senior levels.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
