What you'll do:
- Responsible for defining the multi-year supply chain strategy for Chewy.
- Lead a team that drives efforts across the organization to determine our network structure from supplier to customer.
- Evaluate options and driving debate across the inbound, fulfillment, and outbound space.
- Build metrics and models that evaluate options for inputs/outputs of network.
- Work with partners in data science to deliver the deep math and analytics necessary to answer the most difficult questions.
- Build the infrastructure necessary to deliver analysis, thought leadership, and leadership reviews necessary to make multi-year investments in Chewy's supply chain.
- Work with partners in the inbound, fulfillment and outbound space to properly define the key business questions and our options.
- Create detailed options that define the required inputs and expected outputs to solve biggest business questions.
- Drive leadership reviews to debate options and gain alignment on plans.
- Telecommuting permitted.
What you'll need:
- Minimum Requirements: Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Management Information Systems, Engineering, or related field, plus 8 years of experience in a Data Scientists or a related position/occupation.
- Alternate Education and Experience:Master's degree or foreign equivalent in Management Information Systems, Engineering, or related field, plus 6 years of experience in a Data Scientists or a related position/occupation.
- Experience must include 6 years with the following:
- Collaborating with cross functional stake holders, influencing decisions, and recommending a course of action based on data and analytics;
- Transportation, operations management, and planning;
- Data analysis, including advanced proficiency with Excel, SQL, and Tableau;
- E-commerce;
- Network Design, Transportation Optimization, Simulation, or Mathematical Programming;
- Mapping logistics models and development of engineered solutions;
- Data analysis with R, Python, SQL, Tableau, SAS, MS Access, and MS Excel.

- The specific salary offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including but not limited to the candidate's relevant experience, education, and work location.
