Our Opportunity:
Chewy is seeking an AD Program Manager-Segmented Supply Chain to serve as the operational general manager for our growing Dropship business. In this high-impact role, you will own end-to-end operational performance across the Dropship ecosystem-including vendor performance management, instock execution, order routing logic, delivery experience (DEX), and customer experience (including DEX). This leader will act as the connective tissue across internal functions (Category Management, SC Planning, Technology, Transportation, Customer Service, Finance, and Legal) and external vendors to build a resilient, scalable, and customer driven dropship operation. Does this sound like you? If so, we would love to hear from you! Come run with the Pack!
What You'll Do:
  • Act as the operational GM for Dropship, owning day-to-day execution and long-term strategic planning.
  • Lead vendor operations, ensuring adherence to SLA compliance, shipping accuracy, lead time expectations, and packaging standards.
  • Drive instock and availability through deep integration with Supply Planning and proactive vendor relationship management.
  • Optimize order routing and fulfillment logic to balance speed, cost, and inventory allocation.
  • Partner with Logistics and DEX teams to ensure high-quality last-mile delivery experiences despite network and vendor variability.
  • Develop and implement segment-specific SLAs, exception policies, and critical issue paths for vendors and internal teams.
  • Collaborate with Tech and Product teams to identify automation and tooling opportunities that improve vendor performance visibility and operational efficiency.
  • Own performance dashboards, reporting, and business reviews across key KPIs such as fill rate, ship SLA adherence, RTS, and customer satisfaction.
  • Serve as the voice of Dropship operations in executive-level planning, identifying risks and unlocking scale.

What You'll Need:
  • 10+ years of experience in supply chain, eCommerce, vendor operations, or logistics leadership.
  • Proven success handling detailed multi-party fulfillment networks.
  • Strong data-driven decision-maker with the ability to break down problems and strive to root cause.
  • Excellent communication, influencing, and cross-functional leadership skills.
  • Proven track record to operate in ambiguity and prioritize across high-stakes initiatives.
  • Bachelor's degree required; MBA or supply chain certifications preferred (e.g., APICS, Six Sigma, SCPro).

Preferred Experience:
  • Experience leading third-party logistics (3PL), marketplace, or vendor-fulfilled supply chains.
  • Familiarity with order management systems (OMS), vendor portals, and supply chain analytics tools.
  • Background in customer-centric, fast-growth environments with high service standards.

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
