The FP&A Lead – Sales will be responsible for driving financial planning, forecasting, reporting, analytics, and business partnering for the Sales organization of the region. This role will oversee a team of 10 finance analysts and managers, ensuring high-quality deliverables, standardization of processes, automation of reporting, and strong financial insights to support strategic decision-making. The ideal candidate will be a seasoned finance professional with deep FP&A expertise, strong leadership capability, and a proactive analytical mindset to influence business outcomes.
Job Description
Key Responsibilities1. Financial Planning & Forecasting- Lead the annual Budget process, Latest Estimates (LEs), and periodic forecasting cycles for the Sales function.
- Partner with regional Sales and Commercial leaders to validate assumptions and ensure accuracy of financial plans.
- Build robust and driver-based forecasting models to enhance planning reliability.
- Own monthly performance reporting, including Sales performance, P&L analysis, KPIs, and business dashboards.
- Deliver timely and accurate variance analysis with clear, actionable insights.
- Present financial performance and recommendations to senior leadership.
- Provide deep-dive analytics on revenue, pricing, discounts, channel performance, customer profitability, and key commercial levers.
- Identify trends, risks, and opportunities to support commercial growth strategies.
- Support ad-hoc business cases, ROI evaluations, and scenario modelling.
- Drive process standardization across regional FP&A activities.
- Implement automation tools and reporting enhancements (e.g., Power BI, VBA, digital FP&A solutions).
- Strengthen governance and improve cycle times for planning and reporting processes.
- Oversee monthly accruals and provisioning for Sales-related expenses.
- Ensure compliance with accounting policies and maintain strong internal controls.
- Support audits and financial reviews as required.
- Lead, coach, and develop a team of 10 finance professionals.
- Create a high-performance culture with focus on capability building, continuous improvement, and succession planning.
- Allocate responsibilities, monitor performance outcomes, and ensure quality deliverables.
- CA or MBA (Finance) from a recognized institution.
- 12–15 years of progressive experience in FP&A, Commercial Finance, or Business Planning roles.
- Strong experience partnering with Sales or Commercial functions in a regional/large-market context.
- Demonstrated expertise in budgeting, forecasting, analytics, and financial modelling.
- Prior team leadership experience (managing 5+ members).
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong business partnering influence and stakeholder management.
- Advanced Excel, financial modelling, and data visualization (Power BI/Tableau) capabilities.
- Ability to simplify complex data and provide meaningful insights.
- Strong communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
