Kincell is seeking a highly motivated business operations leader who will represent the dynamic and collaborative Commercial team and lead internal workflows.  The primary function of the role is integrating with the internal organization to manage business workflows around proposal and change order generation/tracking, new program pricing budgets, new program onboarding, S&OP inputs, forecasting and reporting mechanisms are up to date in a timely manner.  The position will also support marketing initiatives for new product launch and inbound lead management to contribute to growth of the Kincell client pipeline and support the commercial ‘sales’ team.  The role of Business Operations leader at Kincell Bio will report directly to the Chief Commercial Officer.

  • Represent the dynamic and collaborative Commercial team and lead internal workflows.
  • Manage business workflows around proposal and change order generation/tracking, new program pricing budgets, S&OP inputs, and forecasting
  • Support inside sales prospecting and inbound lead management to contribute to growth of the Kincell client pipeline and support the commercial ‘sales’ team
  • Manage the proposal/change order pricing sheest to ensure integration with internal departments budgeting process. Integrate sales pricing sheets with the new program onboarding, PM budget management and forecasting (S&OP) processes
  • Designs, generates and amend standard proposal materials in order to fulfill specific client requirements for Kincell’s core offerings
  • Coordinates and collaborates with key internal stakeholders on FTEs, timelines, etc., to align on program pricing templates for Kincell’s core offerings
  • Support sales & revenue growth through management of S&OP and forecasting and budget reviews. Provide oversight to the Commerical expense budget and work with Commercial head to maintain spend within budget
  • Answer, edit, and complete sales proposals, client reports, consultant databases, and ad hoc questionnaires with accuracy and meet client’s expectations/timelines
  • Assist or lead proposal pricing process improvement projects/initiatives.
  • Coordinate all aspects of the sales proposal document production process to ensure the overall quality meets company and client standards.
  • The position will also support marketing initiatives for new product launch, conference logistics and organizing client site visits
  • Other duties assigned.

 

Qualifications

The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required to perform this job successfully.

 7+ years of industry experience

  • 3-5 years of writing experience
  • Master’s degree in a relevant scientific discipline. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
  • Ability to work effectively with a diverse range of people who possess a variety of skills and experience.
  • Acute attention to detail with excellent organization, writing, financial calculating/accounting and project management skills
  • Ability to coordinate multiple projects/tasks while still delivering high-quality results
  • Ability to represent the Commercial team on high value internal projects and workflows
  • Self-motivated with the ability to prioritize and complete tasks to meet strict deadlines
  • Capability to efficiently complete tasks in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to spot inaccurate or inconsistent data
  • Ability to work well under pressure and multi-task
  • Ability to work both independently and within a team as required
  • PC proficient, particularly in Adobe and Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and MS Project or Smartsheet

Preferred

  • Exposure to the biologics contract manufacturing organization ecosystem
  • An entrepreneurial spirit along with a keen sense of ownership
  • A well-organized and self-directed individual who can work with minimal supervision
  • Experience managing budgets and forecasting business results

Travel Requirements

  • ~ 10-20%

Location

  • This position is a hybrid role associated with the Durham, NC site. Close proximity to the Durham, NC site is preferred for attendance of onsite team meetings.
  • This position requires some non-standard working hours, including early morning or late evening.
