AT A GLANCE

As the Associate Director, Account Management, you will be the strategic lead for our most complex and high-visibility partnerships. This is a high-level Account Management position designed for a leader who excels at navigating large-scale healthcare ecosystems and building deep trust with senior stakeholders. You will bridge the gap between our Clinical, Product, and Growth teams, ensuring our partners see the tangible clinical impact of our digital weight health and prevention solutions.

What You’ll Do

While you will serve as a Strategic Thought Partner for internal Operations, you will also own the traditional, essential pillars of account management:

  • End-to-End Partnership Management: Serve as the primary operational lead throughout the client journey—partnering with Sales for account transitions, supporting implementation, and providing high-touch day-to-day support to ensure long-term stability.
  • Traditional Account Governance: Manage regular agendas, Joint Operating Committees (JOCs), and senior leadership briefings with a high degree of polish.
  • Data Synthesis & Storytelling: Analyze complex client data sets to create high-impact Business Value Assessments and QBR decks that translate raw metrics into a narrative of clinical and financial success.
  • The "Voice of the Customer": While you will execute within pre-set contracts, you will actively identify unmet needs and speak confidently to our product roadmap to increase utilization and program integration.
  • Operational Excellence: Maintain deep "insider" knowledge of client organizations, navigating org charts and mastering contract nuances to drive retention.
  • The Balanced Advocate: Master the art of the "thoughtful no"—advocating for the client while protecting internal operational bandwidth and resources.
What We’re Looking For

We are seeking a Business Professional, not a Clinical Practitioner. You must have a proven track record in Corporate Account Management:

  • Experience: 6+ years in Client Services, Account Management, or Strategic Partnerships within Digital Health or Health Plans. Note: Direct clinical/clinic management is not a substitute for corporate account management experience.
  • Industry Expertise: Proven track record of managing partnerships with commercial payers, hospital systems, or Fortune 500 Employers.
  • Portfolio Versatility: Ability to become a subject matter expert in our Weight Health solutions while simultaneously managing a broader portfolio of Prevention products.
  • Analytical Proficiency: You are a "power user" of PowerPoint and data visualization, capable of building persuasive materials for Medical Directors and CFOs alike.
  • Growth & Retention Mindset: You aren’t a "hard-closer," but you are an expert at identifying expansion opportunities through proactive problem-solving
  • High-Stakes Communication: You are known for quick, thoughtful, and professional responses with polish. You can handle "push-back" gracefully and maintain trust under pressure. Whether it's a Slack message to an internal stakeholder or a high-stakes email to a Medical Director, your communication is always proactive, clear, and professional
  • Agile Mindset: Experience in growth-stage environments where you must operate with autonomy and thrive in ambiguity while having the ability to improve processes.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Business, Healthcare Administration, or a related field.

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
