We’re looking for a smart, strategic, and hands-on Associate Creative Director with a deep passion for sports and storytelling to join our team immediately for a 2 month freelance engagement, with a strong possibility of extension. This is a full-time contract role, focused on developing short-form, original, and branded college sports content. You’ll partner with our Creative Directors and production teams to bring to life ideas that resonate with today’s audiences, from student-athlete stories to platform-first content for major brands. A love for college sports, a strong production sensibility, and the ability to move fluidly between decks, scripts, and sets are essential.
This is an immediate start position for an initial 2 month contract with the strong likelihood of extension.
While we are a remote-first company, this is a hybrid role with occasional travel required to oversee shoots or collaborate with production teams 0on-site (aprox 5 days a month).

Requirements
  • Campaign Development & Storytelling: Support creative leadership in concepting and shaping ideas across branded content, and social-first work - especially for sports, college athletics, and entertainment projects.
  • Writing & Creative Execution: Write copy, scripts, and treatments that move audiences and clients alike. Contribute to pitches, decks, and post-production with a sharp eye for creative consistency.
  • Social-First & Trend-Driven Ideation: Generate concepts that align with trending formats (e.g., interviews, meme formats, docu-style reels), with a focus on creating repeatable, platform-native content that pairs cultural moments with athletes and sports narratives.
  • Audience Strategy & Sports Insight: Translate audience data, sports trends, and cultural insights into compelling creative ideas. Understand what makes sports fans, Gen Z, and college audiences tick.
  • Client Presentations & Creative Voice: Join client meetings and serve as a creative point of contact on select projects. Support Creative Directors in articulating creative thinking and campaign rationale.
  • Copywriting & Visual Layout: Assist with writing copy, scripting, and laying out visual presentations for internal pitches and external campaigns.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with producers, editors, and strategy leads to bring ideas to life in a collaborative and deadline-driven environment.
  • Production Savvy: Jump into pre-pro and shoots when needed. Be comfortable working with talent, on-set teams, and adapting creative in real-time.
  • Creative Culture: Help inspire and support junior creatives. Contribute to a culture of feedback, experimentation, and creative excellence.
Qualifications
  • Experience: 3-4 years in creative roles with agency, studio, or sports content experience. Background in branded storytelling or commercials is essential.
  • Sports Passion: Strong knowledge of sports culture, college athletics, and what makes sports storytelling impactful.
  • Content Styles: Familiarity with both docu-style content and structured, repeatable social content formats.
  • Creative Writing & Pitching: Proven experience writing treatments and scripts. Ability to build and present decks that communicate vision and strategy.
  • Production Fluency: Understanding of on-set production, post workflows, and working with editors and motion designers.
  • Client-Ready: Polished, articulate communicator with confidence in presenting ideas to brand and agency partners.
  • Cross-Platform Thinking: Familiarity with trends across YouTube, TikTok, Instagram, and other digital platforms.
  • Collaborative Spirit: Comfortable working in a nimble, fast-moving environment. Proactive, positive, and solutions-oriented.
  • Travel: Fully remote with occasional travel required (approximately 5 days/month) to oversee shoots or collaborate with production teams on-site.
  • Immediate Availability: Available to start immediately in a full-time freelance capacity.
