Description

Mocean is looking for an Associate Creative Director to join the Theatrical AV Graphics and Brand & Entertainment Social teams. This position will work across a variety of disciplines to ideate, develop, and create content across a variety of platforms. The ideal candidate has a strong understanding of theatrical graphics and the social space as well as emerging technology. Working closely with our Group Creative Director, you will oversee a broad range of creative from theatrical graphics to cross-platform social engagements while working closely with our postproduction teams to ensure the client’s vision comes to life.? 

The perfect candidate must be proficient at crafting cross-disciplinary concepts while inspiring art directors, mentoring designers, and collaborating with our motion artists to execute exemplary campaigns. This role is for someone ready to lead and help shape a growing department. 

Requirements

  • Strong sense of typography, design, and layout 
  • Ensure projects are completed at the high standard of excellence expected 
  • Mentor, encourage and guide Art Directors, Designers and Jr. Designers 
  • Work with the Theatrical and Social teams to develop and refine ideas 
  • Collaborate efficiently and effectively with a variety of roles including producers, social managers, strategists, copywriters, account managers and creative directors 
  • Share knowledge amongst the team about technique and process 

Requirements / Preferences  

  • 2-4 years of experience at a Sr. Art Director/ACD level with experience launching campaigns at a theatrical agency 
  • Must be hands-on as a strong Designer and Animator, both 2D and 3D 
  • Should be able to execute a full 3D title working primarily in Cinema 4D and Redshift 
  • Experienced with both Theatrical Graphics and the motion graphics aspect of Social 
  • Strong presentation skills 
  • Has passion for developing world class work across all platforms 
  • Expertise in Adobe CS: Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects, etc. 
  • Strong organizational and teamwork skills, be self-motivated, confident, creative 
  • Examples of work that demonstrates a wide range of design experience 
  • Knowledge of all main social media platforms and best practices 
  • Desire to learn, grow, and contribute in a creative, collaborative environment 
  • Ability to concept multiple ideas in a collaborative environment 
  • Strong communication skills 

Compensation  

  • For this full-time, temp to perm role the compensation is $67 to $85 per hour 
  • The final compensation offered will be dependent on factors such as experience, budget, and location. 
  • Hybrid schedule; minimum of one to two days in office (CA residents)
