Role
We're seeking an Associate Creative Director to help lead the conceptual and executional direction of Function Health's brand. This role sits at the intersection of big-platform thinking and hands-on craft—someone who can develop ideas from the first brief all the way through final execution across every surface where Function shows up.

As ACD, you'll drive the creative development of campaigns, social content, brand moments, and hero executions. You'll bring a strong conceptual point of view, a sharp understanding of what resonates on social, and the ability to translate Function's mission into work that is clear, compelling, culturally relevant, and built to perform across platforms. This role requires a social-first creative thinker with strong content instincts—someone who understands how to concept, script, and create ideas that feel native to the way audiences engage with content today.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead conceptual development for brand campaigns, platform-defining content, and hero creative moments across all channels.
  • Drive platform thinking—developing creative strategies and executions that are specifically built for social, with a deep understanding of how content behaves on Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, and beyond.
  • Concept, write, and script content across formats including video, social, OOH, digital, experiential, and emerging platforms—bringing ideas to life from early concept through final execution.
  • Develop social-first creative ideas and content systems designed to drive engagement, conversation, and cultural relevance across owned and paid channels.
  • Manage and mentor junior creatives, providing clear direction, thoughtful feedback, and a creative environment where great work can thrive.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Brand, Marketing, Clinical, and Production teams to ensure creative work is aligned, on-strategy, and executed with precision.
  • Develop and maintain a strong, consistent brand voice and visual identity across all touchpoints.
  • Present and defend creative work to internal stakeholders, clearly articulating the strategic rationale behind concepts.
  • Stay ahead of cultural trends, platform shifts, creator behaviors, and competitive creative to ensure Function's work remains fresh, relevant, and category-leading.


What You Bring
  • 8–10+ years of experience in creative roles at an agency, in-house brand team, or content studio—with a portfolio that demonstrates exceptional conceptual thinking, strong storytelling, and platform-native execution.
  • Proven experience developing campaigns and content specifically built for social—you understand the nuances of each platform and know how to make content that performs.
  • Strong conceptual foundation: the ability to develop a platform idea, script compelling creative narratives, and extend concepts across multiple formats, channels, and moments.
  • Demonstrated experience creating social-first content and creative systems that balance brand storytelling with audience engagement and platform behavior.
  • Demonstrated experience managing and mentoring creative talent, with a track record of elevating team output.
  • Fluent across both copy and art direction—you can concept in words or pictures, and ideally both.
  • Exceptional presentation and communication skills, with the ability to champion ideas in a room.
  • Ability to move fast without sacrificing quality—comfortable operating in a high-growth environment where priorities shift and speed matters.
