The Client Engagement Group (CEG) is seeking a Korean Speaking Associate to manage, administer and organize activities across the Institutional Client Group team. This position is located in the Los Angeles office. The Associate will own and facilitate day‐to‐day tasks and ensure clear and effective coordination and communication across the group and with internal client groups.
This position is best suited for those candidates who thrive in a culture that emphasizes cross‐ functional collaboration and accountability for delivering results. This person will work closely with Portfolio Oversight, Fund Operations, Marketing, Compliance, Accounting and Investments. In this position, you will play a key role in supporting CIM’s Institutional (Global) Distribution Team in the Asia Pacific Region to attract capital to our funds while also supporting business development internationally.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Collaborate closely with the team to fulfill the department’s functional and operational objectives and goals effectively.
- Handle and manage responses to programmatic and ad-hoc prospective investor inquiries
- Foster clear and efficient communication within the team and across CIM.
- Define project scopes in collaboration with the Relationship Manager and management.
- Ensure timely delivery of project deliverables at the required level of quality.
- Conduct research and analysis on potential investors, competitors, and market trends.
- Analyze market data and summarize data points from service providers into actionable next steps
- Maintain the team schedule and assist in coordinating investor meetings.
- Attend in-person/phone meetings and support post-meeting communication and other marketing efforts.
- Prepare internal and external communications, including Salesforce reports, emails, and presentations
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: (including certification, licenses, etc.)
- 0–3 years of experience
- Bachelor’s degree required; a relevant field of study and internship experience are preferred
- FINRA Series 7 and Series 63 licenses are required for this role (an existing SIE is a plus). Employment is contingent upon obtaining these licenses within 6 months of hire of hire. CIM Group will provide study materials and dedicated time to help you prepare and succeed
- Fluent in Korean (Verbal and Written)

Actual base salary considers several factors including but not limited to geography, job-related knowledge, experience, and budget. The start of the salary range is typically associated with the minimum experience required. At CIM, base pay is one part of the total compensation package. This role will be eligible to participate in CIM’s variable compensation program (e.g. commission) in addition to the bonus program. The anticipated base salary range for the position in Los Angeles, CA is $90,000 - $110,000.
