Associate Attorney, Mass Torts/Class Actions (multiple positions available)
Job title: Associate Attorney, Mass Torts/Class Actions (multiple positions available)
Worksite: San Diego, CA (Remote work allowed when travel not required)
Salary Range: $150,000 - $200,000 per year
Job duties
Manage discovery, including propounding and responding to written discovery, taking, and defending depositions, and analyzing complex documents.
Draft and prepare legal documents, including pleadings and complex motions.
Perform legal research.
Make court appearances as necessary.
Participate in case strategy discussions and contribute innovative ideas.
Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and team members.
Collaborate with senior attorneys on cases.
May direct work of 2 Junior Associates.
Education and Experience Requirements
Juris Doctor degree from ABA accredited law school
Three years of experience as a Commercial Litigation Attorney, with familiarity with Class Action cases or a closely related type of experience.
Special Requirements
Active license to practice law in California in both State and Federal courts.
Experience and demonstrated proficiency as follows:
Three years using E-Discovery and law programs including Sharefile, PACER, CaseAnywhere, WestLaw, and Relativity.
Travel Requirements
Domestic travel to various locations in U.S. but primarily California - minimum 12 trips /year of 3-5 days duration.
