Job Title: Associate Art Director, Men's - UGG
Reports to: Global Art Director - UGG
Location:  Remote – LA, NY, Portland, Santa Barbara preferred

The Role

We are seeking a talented and motivated Associate Art Director with a strong focus on men's fashion to join our creative team. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of men's fashion trends, a keen eye for design, and the ability to translate that expertise into compelling visual stories. Strong leadership abilities and a passion for creating impactful, fashion-forward content are essential. In this role, you will collaborate closely with the Art Director, designers, copywriters, and other stakeholders to develop and execute creative concepts that not only align with our brand vision but also elevate our presence in the men's fashion space.

Your Impact

The primary functions of this role, include but are not limited to:

  • 1. Creative Concept Development: Work closely with the Art Director and creative team to develop innovative and visually compelling concepts for various projects, including advertising campaigns, branding, digital content, and more.
  • 2. Design Oversight: Collaborate with a team of designers, providing guidance and feedback to ensure the highest quality of work. Review and approve design materials before final delivery.
  • 3. Cross-Departmental Collaboration: Collaborate with the marketing, product, and Comms, teams to ensure creative deliverables meet the needs of various departments and align with broader business objectives.
  • 4. Team/Stakeholder Engagement: Engage with internal stakeholders or clients to present concepts, gather feedback, and make necessary adjustments to meet project goals.

Project Management: Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present ideas clearly and effectively to stakeholders at all levels.

  • Experience: 5 years of experience in a design role, with at least 1-2 years in a leadership or supervisory position within a creative team.
  • Technical Skills: Advanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, etc.), Figma, PowerPoint, etc. Strong understanding of typography, color theory, and composition.
  • Leadership Abilities: Demonstrated ability to lead and mentor a team of creatives, providing clear direction and constructive feedback.
  • Project Management: Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present ideas clearly and effectively to stakeholders at all levels.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Fine Arts, Visual Communication, or a related field is preferred.

$85,000 - 95,000

The salary range posted reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for this role in our Goleta, CA location. Individual pay will be determined by location and additional factors, including job related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary for your preferred location during the hiring process.
