Role Summary

The Associate Manager, Marketplace (Digital Commerce & Pricing) supports and optimizes performance across key marketplace channels. This role is responsible for contributing to revenue growth, improving conversion, and supporting profitability through marketplace execution—including listing optimization and operational pricing decisions. You will operate with autonomy within defined objectives, partnering cross-functionally to enhance processes, tools, and marketplace performance.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Support and optimize performance across marketplace channels, focusing on 

    revenue growth, conversion improvement, and profitability metrics.

  • Monitor competitive dynamics, assortment gaps, and marketplace trends to inform day-to-day execution and recommendations.
  • Execute marketplace activities including promotions, assortment updates, and merchandising improvements.
  • Support implementation of pricing and promotional strategies to remain competitive while protecting margin.
  • Analyze marketplace performance data (traffic, conversion, pricing, sales) to identify opportunities for optimization.
  • Partner with Product, Merchandising, and Supply Chain teams to support assortment and inventory alignment.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Marketing and Finance to support business performance and planning.
  • Track and report on KPIs (revenue, conversion, Buy Box performance, margin, pricing competitiveness).
  • Support adoption of marketplace best practices, tools, and reporting processes.
  • Identify and recommend opportunities to improve marketplace execution, workflows, and performance.
  • May provide guidance, training, and day-to-day support to junior team members or cross-functional partners. Acts as a subject matter resource for marketplace execution and pricing practices within the team.

  • Solid business acumen with exposure to revenue and margin considerations.
  • Proactive mindset with a bias for action and continuous improvement.
  • Effective communication and ability to translate data into actionable insights.

What’s Needed – Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Finance, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in eCommerce, marketplace operations, digital commerce, or related roles.
  • Strong understanding of digital commerce fundamentals, including content, conversion optimization, and merchandising.
  • Experience supporting or managing marketplace channels (Amazon, Walmart, or similar).
  • Experience with product listings, digital merchandising, or marketplace operations.
  • Strong analytical skills with experience using data to support business decisions (Excel, BI tools, etc.)

What’s Needed – Preferred Qualifications

  • Exposure to pricing strategy, promotions, or competitive pricing in a marketplace environment (1–3 years preferred).
  • Experience working with key marketplace performance metrics (revenue, conversion, margin).
  • Background in retail, consumer goods, marketplaces, or high-SKU environments.
  • Familiarity with tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or similar analytics platforms.
  • Experience working in cross-functional, matrixed environments.
  • Preferred candidates will bring additional expertise in pricing and performance analytics, supporting ongoing marketplace innovation.

The salary range represents the expected compensation for this role at the time of posting. The specific base pay may be influenced by a variety of factors to include the candidate's experience, skill set, education, geography, business considerations, and internal equity.  In addition to base pay, this role may be eligible for bonuses, or other forms of variable compensation.
