Leads by example on the sales floor and closes both in-person and phone opportunities while following dealership pricing guidelines.
- The Assistant Sales Manager must be a proven closer with the ability to personally close motorcycle deals and consistently convert qualified opportunities into sales. This individual must be comfortable taking over or assisting with deals when a salesperson requires management support and must be able to identify customer needs, uncover objections, create urgency, and confidently ask for the sale. The Assistant Sales Manager must be capable of negotiating while protecting dealership gross profit and adhering to dealership pricing guidelines.
- Asking for the sale is a fundamental responsibility of this position. The Assistant Sales Manager must be able to overcome common customer objections involving price, payment, interest rate, trade value, down payment, credit, and timing, while recognizing buying signals and moving customers toward a commitment. This individual must be capable of closing both in-person and phone opportunities when appropriate and must coach salespeople on effective closing techniques while demonstrating those techniques on the sales floor. Most importantly, the Assistant Sales Manager must lead by example by being willing to step into a deal, take control of the encounter, and close the customer when necessary.
