Job Description

The Assistant Product Developer supports the product development team in bringing concepts to life from design handoff through production. This role is focused on product data accuracy, cross-functional communication, and vendor follow-up to ensure development milestones are met. The Assistant Product Developer is embedded in the product creation process and ensures information is complete, accurate, and delivered on time. 

What you'll get to do:

  • Support the seasonal development process by having exceptional organizational skills and maintaining data accuracy  
  • Update product data in PLM (Style Details, Tech Packs, BOMs, Costing) and help maintain trackers and charts 
  • Support Product Developers in tracking samples & submits (lab dips, strike-offs, trims, washes) and organizing information in preparation for meetings. 
  • Participate in fittings with product developers; take notes and help share clear comments with vendors as directed by the team. 
  • Assist with development and pre-production communication, including preparing and sending tech pack updates, corrections, and comments. 
  • Help monitor the time-and-action calendar to support deadlines for prototypes, photo shoots, sales samples, and production. 

Qualifications

Who you are:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Apparel, Textiles, or related field, or equivalent years of experience preferred.  
  • 1+ years of experience in apparel product development, production, or related field; internships a plus. 
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and follow-through. 
  • Interest in fashion, apparel construction, and industry trends. 
  • Basic knowledge of garment construction and materials; willingness to learn costing and pre-production (development) processes. 
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Suite (Excel (Pivots), PowerPoint, Word); PLM system experience a plus. 
  • Familiarity with Adobe Illustrator a plus. 
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills; ability to liaise effectively with cross-functional partners and vendors. 
  • Willing and able to work additional hours when needed. 
  • Bend, lift, open and move product and related office items varying in weight up to 25lbs, depending on need.

The hourly range for this role is $30.60/hr - $34.00/hr.
