Job Summary & Responsibilities

Seeking a full-time Bilingual Assignment Editor/Digital Content Creator to join our market-leading news team in Coachella Valley, developing content for our ABC, CBS, FOX and Telemundo affiliate station platforms.
This person will:
* Manage the logistics of news coverage
* Prepare and publish multi-media content on our digital platforms including web, social, and app
* Generate hard news enterprise story ideas and plan for future coverage
* Organize incoming news content (news wires, police radios, news releases, news tips, story ideas from inside the station)
* Communicate with contacts to gather facts and schedule interviews
* Work cooperatively with the news team
* Complete other duties as assigned

 

Qualified candidates should:
* Have the ability to operate efficiently in a fast-paced, multi-platform, research-driven newsroom
* Possess critical thinking skills, resourcefulness and be detail oriented
* Demonstrate effective written and oral communication
* Be proficient in Content Management Systems and digital publishing tools
* Understand editorial news judgment

Pay Range: $42k-$45k. Based on experience. 

 

Spanish language skills are preferred.
