The Assembly Production Supervisor is responsible for overseeing daily assembly operations within a fast-paced third-party logistics (3PL) environment. This role ensures that assembly processes are executed efficiently, safely, and in alignment with customer requirements, production schedules, and quality standards. The supervisor leads a team of production associates, coordinates workflow, and ensures that productivity, accuracy, and service levels meet company and client expectations.

- Supervise and coordinate daily assembly operations to meet production goals and customer deadlines
- Lead, train, and develop a team of assembly associates to ensure productivity, quality, and safety standards are maintained
- Monitor workflow, staffing levels, and production schedules to ensure efficient use of labor and resources
- Ensure assembly processes follow client specifications, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and quality control requirements
- Conduct regular quality checks to ensure finished products meet customer and company standards
- Collaborate with warehouse, inventory, and shipping teams to ensure seamless order fulfillment and on-time delivery
- Maintain accurate production records, labor tracking, and reporting for operational performance
- Identify process improvement opportunities to increase efficiency, reduce errors, and optimize production output
- Enforce workplace safety standards and ensure compliance with company policies and OSHA regulations
- Assist with staffing needs including interviewing, onboarding, training, scheduling, and performance management
- Address employee concerns, provide coaching, and promote a positive and productive work environment
- Support continuous improvement initiatives such as Lean practices, workflow optimization, and productivity tracking.
- Perform hands-on support within the assembly and kitting areas as needed, including lifting, moving, and staging materials to maintain continuous production flow
• Operate material handling equipment such as pallet jacks and forklifts to support production and material movement
• Set up, adjust, and ensure readiness of assembly equipment, conveyors, and workstations prior to and during production - Coordinate daily shift handovers with incoming and outgoing supervisors to communicate production status, pending orders, material shortages, and operational priorities
- Oversee material staging and ensure assembly lines remain continuously supplied to avoid downtime
- Support troubleshooting of minor equipment issues and coordinate with maintenance as neede
- Ensure work areas are maintained in a clean, organized, and safe condition in alignment with 5S standards
- Monitor line performance and proactively address issues that may impact throughput or production targets

- High school diploma or GED required, associate’s or bachelor’s degree in operations, Supply Chain, or related field preferred
- 3–5 years of experience in production, assembly, manufacturing, or warehouse operations
- 1–3 years of supervisory or team leadership experience preferred
- Experience in a 3PL, distribution, or contract packaging environment strongly preferred
- Strong understanding of assembly processes, production scheduling, and quality control practices
- Proficiency with warehouse management systems (WMS), production tracking, and Microsoft Office
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced operational environment.
- Experience operating forklifts and other warehouse material handling equipment preferred
- Ability to perform physical work including lifting, bending, squatting, and standing for extended period
- Experience working in a high-volume warehouse or production environment with changing priorities and production demands
• This position operates in a warehouse and production environment with exposure to varying temperatures, including hot and cold conditions depending on the season
• The noise level in the work environment is typically moderate to high due to machinery, conveyors, and production activity
• Role requires frequent walking, standing, bending, squatting, reaching, and lifting throughout the shift
• Ability to lift and/or move boxes, materials, and products (typically up to 50 lbs, and occasionally more with assistance)
• Regular use of material handling equipment such as pallet jacks and forklifts is required
• Work is performed in a fast-paced environment with moving equipment and requires strong situational awareness and adherence to safety practices
• The noise level in the work environment is typically moderate to high due to machinery, conveyors, and production activity
• Role requires frequent walking, standing, bending, squatting, reaching, and lifting throughout the shift
• Ability to lift and/or move boxes, materials, and products (typically up to 50 lbs, and occasionally more with assistance)
