We are looking for an experienced and talented Production Designer to join the UCAN Marketing Creative Services team based in Los Angeles, CA, constantly raising the bar in creative design and adaptation across select Marketing projects. Working in partnership with our Post Production Supervisor and Art & Print Production team, the Production Designer ensures projects are executed with creative excellence, preserving original intent, delivered on time (to spec), and in alignment with our brand.

The Opportunity
Reporting to the Sr. Manager, Creative Services, the Production Designer is an integral part of Art & Print design and execution. In this role, you are responsible for leveraging title art and our Brand Toolkit to execute Art & Print Assets for various stakeholders across Netflix’s Marketing organization. No matter the canvas, you have deep technical expertise to adapt art to any platform or medium. You are nimble and skilled at engaging with project stakeholders at all levels, demonstrating creativity, sound judgment, and the ability to thrive as both an independent contributor and a collaborative team member in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities include:

CREATIVE DESIGN/ADAPTATION

  • Develop and execute original designs for executive presentations and internal communications events, including (but not limited to) slide decks, banners, and poster artwork. 

  • Adapt art into various specs and requirements for digital and print needs.

  • Adjust and/or execute Mechanicals for a variety of print or OOH needs.

  • Prepare final, press-ready files based on supplied specifications for several types of printing.

  • Retouch images to improve quality both in print and digital formats

PROJECT MANAGEMENT

  • Collaborate with key stakeholders to clarify creative direction, provide updates, and ensure feedback is incorporated throughout the project lifecycle.

  • Proactively identify and address potential risks or bottlenecks in the production process, recommending solutions to keep projects on track.

  • WORKFLOW & TOOLING IMPROVEMENTS

  • Curious to learn about Netflix applications and internal resources to enhance print production and streamline workflows. 

  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge on printers, technologies, and associated software

  • Strategize how we eliminate, delegate, or automate our Print Production workflows for maximum efficiency without sacrificing quality or security.

Requirements:

  • 5+years of Marketing/Promotional Production Designer experience at a Creative Agency or Entertainment Studio.  

  • Proficient in standard print resolutions and formats. 

  • An understanding of CMYK and RGB is a must. 

  • Proven expertise in Adobe Creative Suite, particularly Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign.  

  • Fluent in Print formats while understanding the fundamentals of assets management, servicing and trafficking. 

  • Expert knowledge of social and digital formats and best practices. 

  • Demonstrates a solid understanding of graphic design fundamentals, including typography, color theory, and composition.

  • Strong understanding of media management, project organization, and print-production workflows.

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to lead teams and liaise with stakeholders.

  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

  • Experience facilitating approvals with high-profile stakeholders is a plus.

We rely on market indicators to determine compensation and consider your specific job family, background, skills, and experience to get it right. These considerations can cause your compensation to vary and will also be dependent on your location. 

The overall market range for roles in this area of Netflix is typically $70.00/hr - $90.00/hr.
