About the role

We’re looking for a nimble Art Director to shape how our brand shows up across growth, social, and marketing campaigns, with a strong focus on paid performance advertising. This role is equal parts concept engine and production powerhouse and you’ll generate ideas that cut through, then bring them to life across paid, performance, social, and content channels.

You’ll collaborate with growth, product marketing, and creative teams to develop work that is bold, fast-moving, and effective. The ideal candidate has a proven track record creating high-performing ad creative across multiple channels and knows how to design for measurable outcomes, whether that’s driving higher CTR, stronger conversion, or improved ROAS.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Concept, design, and produce creative for paid performance campaigns across channels (Meta, LinkedIn, Google Display, YouTube, programmatic, etc.).
  • Design and deliver dev-ready, brand-building campaign landing pages.
  • Translate growth and performance goals into creative strategies that deliver against KPIs (CTR, conversion, ROAS).
  • Partner with growth and marketing teams on campaign development, ensuring ideas scale across channels.
  • Act as a creative engine, generating concepts that push the brand forward while delivering measurable impact.
  • Collaborate with copy, motion, and marketing partners to execute high-quality work, fast.
  • Maintain brand consistency while adapting creative for performance and experimentation.

What we expect from you:

  • 4–6 years of design or art direction experience with a focus on paid performance advertising (agency or in-house, SaaS a plus).
  • A strong portfolio with proven results in performance ads across Meta, LinkedIn, Google, YouTube, and other growth channels.
  • Experience designing creative that improves performance metrics (CTR, conversion rates, ROAS).
  • Proficiency in AI video/photo platforms, Figma, and Adobe Creative Suite (motion skills a plus).
  • Experience balancing high creative quality with quick-turn production.
  • A knack for both big-idea thinking and detailed execution.

How success is measured:

  • Lift in CTR and engagement rates for paid campaigns.
  • Improved conversion rates and pipeline contribution tied to ad creative.
  • Increased ROAS and cost efficiency across channels.
  • Scaled creative testing velocity (volume of ad variations produced + iterated).
  • Positive feedback from cross-functional partners on creative quality and impact.

We are happy to share the set target salary range for the seniority level outlined in all of our job descriptions. Candidates should keep in mind that the final offer will depend on multiple factors such as: your valuable experience and expertise, geographic location, overall compensation, and prevailing market rates.

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
