This position requires the candidate to be willing to get an active U.S. Government Security Clearance at the Secret level.

Vantor's USG Defense team is currently looking for a dynamic and results-oriented Army Sales Engineer to join our team at Vantor. In this role, you will drive business growth by understanding customer needs, providing technical solutions, and effectively articulating the value of our products or services. Your role will be pivotal in effectively communicating technical information to customers and helping to develop and maintain relationships to build trust. Responsibilities: 

  • Develop and implement strategies to deliver and drive adoption of new products and solutions 
  • Leverage existing or establish relationships with senior personnel and operational users in the defense communities  
  • Work with Product teams to understand current products and future roadmaps 
  • Translate user workflows to internal products and capabilities 
  • Identify potential opportunities through established partners, working cross-collaboratively 
  • Work with the Sales and Finance teams to accurately forecast, implement, and monitor a successful strategic go-to-market program 
  • Support Sales and Marketing teams in the development of product positioning, presentations, press releases, product workshops, training workshops, and customer visits 
  • Strengthen and progress deep business and technical relationships through your knowledge of the customer’s mission  

  

Minimum Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business or related field; work experience may be substituted 
  • Willingness to get an Active Secret Clearance (with eligibility for TS/SCI)
  • 3-5 years of experience working for a technology or product-centric company in a sales related capacity 
  • Experience navigating and partnering with the defense communit
  • Experience working with product teams with the ability to translate user workflows to products 
  • Ability to travel up to 50% 

Preferred Qualifications:  

  • Background selling mission systems, data platforms, ISR capabilities, or dual-use defense technology.
  • Strong connections within defense communities 
  • Excellent cross-functional skills across customers, sales, strategy, marketing, product, legal, and operations 
  • Military background
  • Experience bringing new products to market 
  • Self-starter with demonstrated success working in a deadline-driven environment with minimal supervision 
  • Python, Java, or C++ or other experience

    Pay Transparency: In support of pay transparency at Vantor, we disclose salary ranges on all U.S. job postings.  The successful candidate’s starting pay will fall within the salary range provided below and is determined based on job-related factors, including, but not limited to, the experience, qualifications, knowledge, skills, geographic work location, and market conditions. Candidates with the minimum necessary experience, qualifications, knowledge, and skillsets for the position should not expect to receive the upper end of the pay range.

     ● The pay for this position within the Washington, DC metropolitan area is: $165,000.00 - $275,000.00 annually.

    For all other states, we use geographic cost of labor as an input to develop market-driven ranges for our roles, and as such, each location where we hire may have a different range.
