Job Description
About Arity
Arity is a mobility data and analytics company founded by The Allstate Corporation. We transform trillions of miles of driving behavior into actionable insights for industries like insurance, marketing, and mobility. Our mission? Make transportation smarter, safer, and more useful for everyone.
The Team
The Product Marketing team is the strategic bridge between what we build and how the market understands it. We're the customer obsessed translators who turn complex mobility data capabilities into compelling value propositions that resonate with buyers across insurance, marketing, and emerging industries. Working cross-functionally with Sales, Product, and Customer Success, we drive go-to-market strategies, develop messaging that actually converts, and identify new market opportunities that fuel Arity's growth.
The Role
We're looking for a Strategic Product Marketing Intern who's equal parts AI-native researcher and customer-obsessed storyteller. You'll report directly to our Director of Product Marketing Solutions & Innovation on high-impact projects that explore emerging industries and buyer groups-helping us understand their problems so we can better position Arity's solutions to solve them.
What makes this different? This isn't a "watch and learn" internship or busy work. You'll be handed real projects that influence million-dollar market decisions, expected to run with them, and empowered to bring your own ideas to the table. Think of yourself as part detective, part strategist, and part AI whisperer-using cutting-edge tools to uncover what keeps different buyer groups up at night.
What You'll Actually Do
AI-Powered Industry Intelligence
  • Research emerging industries and buyer groups using AI tools (especially Microsoft Copilot), public sources, and internal knowledge bases

  • Craft smart prompts, evaluate AI outputs, and turn raw data into strategic recommendations

  • Map buyer groups within target industries (think: who actually writes the checks and what keeps them up at night?)

  • Develop industry briefs and buyer insight summaries that reveal "what's in it for them"

Strategic Synthesis & Storytelling
  • Synthesize mountains of AI-generated insights into clear, compelling briefs that humans actually want to read

  • Connect customer problems to Arity's capabilities in ways that resonate with real buyers

  • Document findings in Confluence and SharePoint for broader team access

  • Help evolve our team's approach to AI-assisted market research

Cross-Functional Collaboration
  • Partner with Product Marketing, Sales, and Customer Success teams to validate research findings

  • Contribute to packaging efforts for cross-segment solutions

  • Get real exposure to senior leadership and strategic decision-making

  • Maybe even teach us a thing or two about cutting-edge AI applications!

What We're Looking For
Education & Experience:
  • Entering your junior year or later in undergrad (or pursuing a relevant graduate degree)

  • Target Start Date: May/June 2026

Core Skills That Matter:
  • AI literacy - Comfort with tools like ChatGPT, Copilot, Perplexity, and a desire to push their limits

  • Research & synthesis chops - You know how to dig deep, connect dots, and make sense of complex information

  • Customer obsession - You naturally think "what's in it for them?" and can shift perspectives like a chameleon

  • Clear communication - You can write well and explain complex ideas simply

  • Self-starter mentality - You thrive with autonomy and aren't afraid to ask questions or challenge assumptions

Bonus Points:
  • Interest in marketing, product strategy, or emerging tech

  • Experience with Microsoft Suite, Confluence, or SharePoint

  • You geek out over understanding what makes different industries/buyers tick

What You'll Gain
Real Impact: Your research directly influences product positioning and go-to-market strategy-this isn't theoretical work
AI at the Forefront: Build skills with cutting-edge tools that'll set you apart in any career path
Senior Exposure: Work directly with a Director and regularly interact with VPs and other senior leaders
Strategic Experience: A front-row seat to how a data-driven B2B company builds and markets new solutions
Autonomy & Growth: We'll give you challenging projects and trust you to run with them (with support when you need it)
Community & Connection: Join a strong intern network across Arity-you'll have built-in community and support even in our fully remote environment
Ready to dive in? If you're the type of person who gets excited about solving puzzles, loves understanding what makes people tick, and wants to shape the future of mobility data using the latest AI tools, we want to hear from you.
Compensation offered for this role is between $20 and $42 an hour and is based on experience and qualifications.

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
