The Archival Intern will catalog digital assets, assist with database projects, communicate with the Archives Director, and collaborate with various teams.

Illumination is looking for an Archival Intern for Summer 2026 to work under the general direction of the Director of Digital Asset Management and Archive. They will need to demonstrate strong communication skills and adaptability to work on multiple projects within the Archive.
Responsibilities:
- Upload and catalog assets into a Digital Asset Management system.
- Assist with various database cleanup projects.
- Work with different departments to curate assets for the DAM System.
- Communicate effectively with the Archives Director regarding progress on projects.
Qualifications:
- Available to work 40 hours per week for 8 weeks.
- Students returning to school in the fall are eligible to apply.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Knowledge of file structures and procedures.
- Must have the ability to pay close attention to detail.
- Ability to prepare reports regarding project goals and deadlines.
- Must be actively enrolled in an accredited Archival/Library Science Graduate program for the full duration of the internship.
- Must be authorized to work in the United States without visa sponsorship by the company.
Additional Qualifications:
- Knowledge of the animation process a plus.
- Background in art or knowledge of art history a plus.
- Experience working with DAM Systems a plus.
Requirements:
- Must have the ability to work in the Santa Monica studio 4 days a week (Mon-Thurs) without relocation assistance from the company and 1 day WFH (Fri).
The salary for this position is $17.28/hour.
