Leads a multidisciplinary systems engineering team responsible for architecture and interface data management on the Sentinel ICBM program. Performs technical peer reviews, hands-on analysis, and validation of complex DoD deliverables; supervises 8–10 personnel; mentors engineers; allocates resources; and briefs senior military and government leaders on technical issues and program execution.
Job Description
BAE Systems is seeking an engineering leader for a critical opportunity supporting the U.S. Air Force's acquisition of the next-generation Intercontinental Ballistic Missile (ICBM), the Sentinel weapon system. This is not a traditional administrative management role; we are seeking a "Player-Coach"-a technically proficient leader capable of performing deep-dive analysis and peer-reviewing complex technical content while simultaneously providing mentorship and administrative leadership to a high-performing team.
Working at the intersection of technical execution and organizational leadership, you will lead a multidisciplinary team of systems engineers specializing in architecture and interface data management. You will serve as the primary technical liaison to USAF civilian and uniformed program managers, providing the Air Force with the confidence that all technical deliverables are rigorously analyzed and validated.
You will operate within a digital engineering-driven culture, utilizing MBSE tools to shape the development and deployment of the national security-critical backbone of our nuclear deterrent capability. This role requires a leader who can pivot seamlessly from a high-level senior military briefing to a granular technical review of a system model.
Key Responsibilities
BAE Systems has been recognized as a "Top Workplace" in Utah for eight consecutive years, specifically noted for providing a healthy work-life balance. Join a mission-focused team where high performance is supported by streamlined management policies and a positive, inclusive culture.
Pursuant to Government contract, this position requires US Citizenship status.
