Who we are

Alpharun is an applied AI company helping enterprise leaders in mortgage, insurance, and healthcare industries. Our platform turns the behaviors of top sellers into AI Playbooks, coaches every rep against those standards, and deploys autonomous voice agents to execute repeatable workflows.

Under the hood, Alpharun is a performance platform with a growing suite of agents. A playbook agent that analyzes call recordings and scores them against a customer's standards, a signals agent that extracts and applies metadata to every call, an automation agent that fires notifications the moment a call matches a prompt, a voice agent that executes live workflows end to end, and a training roleplay agent that lets reps rehearse against realistic scenarios.

The role

As an Applied AI Solutions Engineer, you'll report to the Head of AI Solutions & Success and own the full customer journey, from partnering with Account Executives to win enterprise deals, through implementation and deployment, and into the continued success and expansion of every agent we put into production. You'll deploy, configure, and tune all of these agents for the customers you own.

This is a high-leverage role for someone who wants to build a transformative product alongside customers, not simply inherit a playbook. You'll develop deep expertise in our customers' businesses and systems, and you'll be the technical center of gravity for the relationship and the feedback loop back into our product. In a single week you might scope a new integration, configure a signals agent, build a voice agent, wire up an automation flow, run a customer demo, write a one-pager, and lead a hands-on training. This role is not built for someone who wants to stay in one lane. If that reads as a great week rather than a draining one, we should talk.

Why you should join

  • Team: We're a tight-knit, ambitious team working together in our San Francisco office five days a week. Our founders, Paul and Henry Dornier, are twins and second-time founders who previously sold their first company before leading product, engineering, and marketing teams at Front.
  • Rapid growth: Revenue growth has grown over 10x in the past 6 months.
  • Category-defining product: You'll build and deploy at the intersection of AI, revenue performance, workforce enablement, and customer-experience automation.
  • Ownership: As an early member of the solutions team, you'll have meaningful influence over our customers' success, our product roadmap, and the company we build.
  • Compensation: Compensation is structured as on-target earnings (OTE) with an 80/20 base to variable split. The variable portion is tied to the revenue performance of the company, so the majority of your pay is stable while your upside grows directly with Alpharun.

This role is intense but immensely rewarding, ideal for someone with exceptional ambition, a bias toward action, real technical range, and a desire to build an enduring enterprise company.

We’ll be most excited if you have

  • 4 to 6 years in a technical, customer-facing role such as Solutions or Sales Engineer, Forward Deployed Engineer, Solutions Architect, technical CSM, PM, or founder, where you personally owned enterprise deployments from first demo through signed contract to live in production.
  • A habit of building your own leverage. You've written Claude skills, internal tools, or automations that made your team dramatically faster, because you saw the bottleneck and removed it without being asked.
  • Hands-on technical range. You've stood up integrations across telephony and CRM systems, wired up APIs and webhooks, and shipped prompt-engineered agents that held up under real production volume.
  • The instinct to turn a vague customer requirement into a working deployment. You can sit in a room, extract the real problem behind the stated one, and leave with something you can build.
  • Customer-facing communication that lands. You've written the one-pager, readout, or business case that an executive actually used to make a decision.
  • The range to earn trust with a skeptical engineer and a CRO in the same afternoon, and to partner closely with an Account Executive to win the deal.
  • Deep curiosity about AI and the ability to become fluent in a technical, rapidly evolving product.

We've already found product-market fit. Now we're pouring gasoline on the fire, and this is one of the most important hires in how we scale.

We're looking for builders who are obsessed with delivering customer value, resourceful enough to make progress without a clear roadmap, and eager to own outcomes end to end. Some of that shows up as experience and some of it shows up as raw potential, and we care about both. If that sounds like you, we want to hear from you.

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
