Application Systems Analyst

Conduct engineering efforts required to build and operate enterprise-grade application container services utilizing Docker and Kubernetes technologies. Develop technical architecture documentation, coordinate software development lifecycle activities, and support enterprise application environments through industry best practices, automation, and source code management. 

Compensation & Benefits:

Estimated Starting Salary Range for Application Systems Analyst: $165,000–$180,000

Pay commensurate with experience.

Full-time benefits include Medical, Dental, Vision, 401(k), and other possible benefits as provided. Benefits are subject to change with or without notice.

Application Systems Analyst Responsibilities Include:

  • Conduct engineering efforts required to build and operate an enterprise-grade application container service using Docker and Kubernetes software. 
  • Create architecture models and diagrams to properly describe the requirements of the container service. 
  • Write project architecture documents, including models and data flow diagrams. 
  • Coordinate all phases of the Software Design Life Cycle (SDLC) process. 
  • Provide estimates to staff regarding technical tasks and implementation efforts. 
  • Apply industry best practices during specifications, architecture, coding, testing, and deployment phases. 
  • Manage application and infrastructure source code in a GitHub or Git-based source code repository. 
  • Work within an Agile software development framework. 
  • Support development teams by providing technical estimates and implementation guidance. 
  • Conduct and support analysis of procedures and process design to improve operational efficiency and management controls. 
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

 

Application Systems Analyst Experience, Education, Skills, Abilities Requested:

  • Experience with Docker and Kubernetes. 
  • Experience with configuration automation tools such as Puppet. 
  • Experience with Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) tools such as Jenkins or CircleCI. 
  • Experience using GitHub or other Git version control systems. 
  • Familiarity with Agile software development methodologies. 
  • Excellent communication, time management, decision-making, and organizational skills. 
  • Ability to create technical architecture documentation and data flow diagrams. 
  • Ability to support enterprise application environments and software lifecycle activities. 
  • Public Trust clearance required. 
  • Must pass pre-employment qualifications of Criterion.
