Job Description

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Assistant Project Manager - Quality (MEP) to oversee and ensure quality compliance across Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) works at project sites. The incumbent will be responsible for implementing quality standards, conducting inspections, monitoring workmanship, ensuring adherence to specifications, and driving continuous improvement initiatives to achieve project quality objectives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure compliance with approved drawings, specifications, client requirements, and applicable codes/standards for MEP works.
  • Develop, implement, and monitor QA/QC procedures and quality plans across projects.
  • Conduct routine inspections, audits, and quality checks for mechanical, electrical, and plumbing installations.
  • Review Inspection Requests (IRs), Method Statements, Quality Checklists, and Test Reports.
  • Coordinate with project teams, contractors, consultants, and vendors to resolve quality-related issues.
  • Monitor testing and commissioning activities to ensure quality compliance.
  • Identify non-conformities, initiate corrective and preventive actions (CAPA), and track closure.
  • Analyze quality trends and prepare periodic quality reports and dashboards.
  • Ensure proper documentation and maintenance of quality records.
  • Support training and awareness programs on quality standards and best practices.
  • Participate in client and consultant quality inspections and audits.
  • Promote continuous improvement initiatives to enhance project quality and operational efficiency.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Additional certifications in Quality Management, QA/QC, or ISO standards will be an advantage.

Required Experience

  • 5-8 years of experience in Quality Assurance/Quality Control for MEP works within construction, real estate, or infrastructure projects.
  • Hands-on experience in high-rise residential, commercial, industrial, or mixed-use development projects.
  • Experience in testing, commissioning, and quality documentation for MEP systems.
