Vendor Management Analyst

Job Purpose and Summary

Assist and participate in activities related to the management of outsourced vendors for 340B support, including, Projects, Quality, Training, and Data Analysis. Working closely with internal and external partners to produce accurate and timely results. Partner with operations both within CVS/Caremark and the vendor teams to ensure critical tasks and initiatives are completed accurately and on time. Facilitate and/or participate in cross functional meetings. Assist with Vendor record management, audits, delegation oversight, training and quality.
The role will provide excellent customer service for both internal and external customers, resolving routine and non-routine issues. Working collaboratively with peers to effectively maintain client and member satisfaction. In addition to the job duties; this role will be expected to adhere to CVS Health compliance and operating procedures and work with vendors to help evolve process. Ability to review, understand and interpret data to identify areas of opportunity. Working with other areas on solutions that have direct impact on our clients and the overall 340B program  
This role will assist in projects and in driving overall results. Supporting Advisors and Project Managers sourcing information and acting as a Subject Matter Expert [SME] on programs and analysis within the direct scope of the candidates realm of responsibility. Being part of and helping lead focus groups that will drive conversation to understand objectives and opportunities that will assist projects work. Tracking vendor areas to ensure results.
 

Primary Job Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Applies functional knowledge of vendor management principles to reviewing contracts, tracks contract milestones, and ensure compliance with contractual obligations.
  • Conducts risk assessments of vendors to identify potential risks and evaluate their impact on the organization's operations.
  • Compiles vendor information to ensure all data is entered into a third-party system and is easily accessible for reporting and tracking purposes.
  • Applies functional knowledge of vendor management principles when coordinating due diligence efforts pertaining to vendor capabilities, financial stability, legal and regulatory compliance, and other relevant factors.
  • Reviews vendor costs and analyzes financial data to identify cost-saving opportunities, optimize vendor spend, and enhance budgeting and forecasting accuracy.
  • Helps create vendor scorecards and performance dashboards that summarize key metrics, trends, and insights to aid decision-making and drive performance improvements.
  • Identifies opportunities for vendor relationship expansion, collaboration, and innovation to enhance the value derived from vendor partnerships.
  • Under limited supervision, manages vendor-related data and documentation, ensuring accurate and up-to-date records are maintained in vendor management systems or databases.
  • Monitors vendor compliance with contractual obligations, regulatory requirements, and internal policies, highlighting non-compliance issues to relevant stakeholders.

Education

  • Bachelor's degree preferred/specialized training/relevant professional qualification.

Prior Relevant Work Experience:

  • 1-2+ years of demonstrated, learning and development preferably in the Pharma, Health Care sector or relevant technical field.

Essential Qualifications and Functions:

  • Working knowledge of problem solving and decision making skills
  • Certified Professional in Training Management (CPTM) preferred.
  • Agile for HR and L&D certification preferred.

Knowledge of:

  • Knowledge of MS office, PowerPoint.
  • Salesforce
  • JIRA
  • SQL
  • Basic overall understanding of product development concepts and technical documentation.
  • Basic awareness of problem solving and decision making skills.
  • External vendor/account management experience preferred.

Pay Range

The typical pay range for this role is:

$43,888.00 - $93,574.00

This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls.  The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors.  This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.
