What You'll Bring:
- 1 – 3 years’ experience in a technical applications support capacity
- Experience troubleshooting and resolving technical application issues with a demonstrated focus on excellent customer service skills.
- Experience working in an enterprise-level infrastructure environment.
- Ability to work under supervision and actively participate in technical projects from start to finish.
- Flexible in prioritizing job responsibilities and understanding business reasons for changing them.
- Possess the ability to make clear and quick business decisions as it pertains to technical aspect of core responsibilities in support.
- Ability to analyze problems and perform investigations to find cause and resolution.
- Ability to perform duties in critical situations (escalations for high-profile customers).
- Technical Experience in the following areas:
- Operating Systems: Linux and Windows
- Relational Databases: DB2, SQL Server, PostgreSQL
- Application Stack: JBoss, Tomcat, Spring Boot
- Enterprise Monitoring: Splunk, TrueSight
- Network Technologies: Load Balancers, TCP/IP, Cisco
We’d Love to See:
- Credit Industry Experience is a plus
- Cloud Experience (AWS, Azure)
- Secure File Transfer Experience (GlobalScape, Sterling File Gateway)
- Microsoft Sharepoint Experience
- Scripting or Programming experience (Bash, Python, Java, C++)
Impact You'll Make:
- Under supervision, respond to requests for technical application assistance from customers and Tier I Support within TransUnion, including: technical application assistance, application errors, application configuration/setup, electronic transactions, systems status and downtime procedures for any of TransUnion products and systems.
- Communicate problem issues with other support members, IT groups and external vendors to troubleshoot system problems and resolve application issues. Utilize internal guidelines for effective call processing and escalation of reported problems to next level support representatives as needed.
- Implement designed solutions for proactive monitoring, alerting and reporting, using available tools and expertise.
- Provide after hours on-call coverage as required.
