The Portfolio Administration Analyst will be a member of the Portfolio Administration and Reporting Team, which is responsible for portfolio administration, client reporting, and performance. They will be responsible for overseeing portfolio accounting data and supporting global custody operations through the oversight of our middle office and custody service providers, as well as client custodians. This role serves as a key control function within the investment operations lifecycle by identifying, investigating, and resolving operational issues that impact data accuracy, trading activity, performance, and client reporting.
Job Functions

Oversight of DoubleLine’s outsourced middle office service provider, collaborating with them to ensure data accuracy, improve processes, and minimize operational risk.

Support projects related to process improvement, automation, data quality, and operational efficiency to assist with team-, department-, and firm-level initiatives.

Assist in setting up and maintaining global custody accounts and tax documents for DoubleLine funds, ensuring required local markets are open and ready for trading.

Work with custodians and fund administrators to ensure connectivity and communication between custodians, fund administrators, and middle office.

Lead and facilitate regular meetings with internal and external stakeholders to address issues and ensure alignment of objectives.

Research daily data discrepancies between DoubleLine’s fund administrators and middle office. Perform root cause analysis on recurring breaks and recommend process improvements where applicable.

Review and resolve cash and asset reconciliation breaks in a timely manner by partnering with our middle office, internal teams, custodians, and/or fund administrators.

Develop and maintain operational procedures, reports, and documentation.

Bachelor’s degree preferred.

Demonstrated ability to analyze complex data, investigate discrepancies, and drive issues through resolution; exposure to investment operations or financial services is a plus.

Ability to quickly learn investment operations workflows, systems, and service-provider relationships; familiarity with global custody, fund accounting, or middle-office processes is helpful but not required.

Proficiency with Microsoft 365 required.

Demonstrated ability and interest in using data, technology, automation, and AI to investigate problems, identify patterns, and improve processes. Experience with tools such as Excel, Power BI, Python, SQL, or similar is a plus.

Basic knowledge of fixed income instruments preferred.

Base Salary Range
The estimated base salary range for this position is $95,000 - $105,000. In addition to base salary, this position is eligible for an annual discretionary bonus, plus a comprehensive benefits package.
