Data & Analytics Operations Engineer plays a critical role in maintaining and supporting our systems and tools used for data analysis, reporting and decision-making. They ensure that Data & Analytics Platforms runs smoothly, troubleshoot issues and help end-users get the most out of Data & Analytics tools.
Key Responsibilities
System Maintenance and Monitoring: Managing the smooth operation of BI platforms, implementing updates, and overseeing the performance and health of BI systems and pipelines.
Troubleshooting and Issue Resolution: Identifying and resolving issues with Data & Analytics reports, dashboards, or data connections from end-to-end (from source systems down to Data & Analytics data products).
Data Integration and ETL Support: Helping integrate various data sources and provide first and second level support to ensure ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes in both On-Prem and Cloud environment run without errors
Collaboration with IT Teams: Working closely with developers, database administrators, and data engineers to ensure data pipelines are robust and reports are accurate.
Documentation: Creating documentation for troubleshooting procedures, system configurations, and user guides.
Qualifications & Experience
University degree in Computer Sciences or a similar field of studies
Minimum of 4 years hands-on experience working within Azure ecosystem
Ideally accomplished MS course DP-203 (Date Engineering)
Technical Expertise
Proficient in Azure BI Services such as Azure Synapse Analytics (including SQL Pools, Synapse Pipelines; Apache Spark for Synapse, Synapse Studio)
Experience in managing Azure Functions, Azure App Service Plans.
Knowledgeable coding in Python; PySpark; Spark SQL
Strong command of TSQL and managing relational data.
Operational Skills
Experienced in efficient ticket management and prioritization to deliver timely resolutions to user inquiries and technical issues.
Demonstrates resourcefulness and flexibility in problem-solving.
Soft Skills
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Willingness to work flexible or shifting schedules as required.
Ability to work effectively in a multicultural, team-oriented environment.
