About this Role

 We are adding to our staff and are looking for an Investment Operations Analyst who is bright, articulate, and has a sense of humor. This is an entry-level position and an excellent opportunity for someone interested in gaining experience in the finance industry. Ideal candidates will have excellent problem-solving skills, a high degree of attention to detail, and excellent organizational skills. This is a great opportunity to work for a growing investment management firm.

 

Key responsibilities

 ·      Monitor and reconcile separately managed accounts between the firm’s portfolio accounting system and our external custodians, daily

·      Communicate with custodians, banks, brokers, and vendors to resolve issues related to daily processes, data delivery, trade settlement, etc.

·      Respond to and process corporate action notifications across all Aperio managed accounts via email, fax, and various custodial websites

·      Reply to diverse external and internal requests in a timely and professional manner

·      Work on miscellaneous projects (billing, performance, and investment operations departments) to streamline operations, automate processes, and reduce errors

·      Participate in projects to enhance the client experience

·      Effectively document and maintain processes

·      Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

 ·      BA/BS required preferably in Accounting or Finance

·      Strong attention to detail and accuracy

·      Excellent written and verbal communication skills

·      Outstanding problem-solving and interpersonal skills

·      Strong organizational and multitasking skills

·      Ability to work independently and in a small group environment; a collaborative attitude is a must

·      Advanced Microsoft Office capabilities; knowledge of SQL and/or Python a plus

·      A high degree of integrity with the ability to handle confidential matters

·      Capacity to work in a fast-paced environment

USD$85,000.00 - USD$105,000.00 . Additionally, employees are eligible for an annual discretionary bonus, and benefits including heath care, leave benefits, and retirement benefits. BlackRock operates a pay-for-performance compensation philosophy and your total compensation may vary based on role, location, and firm, department and individual performance.
