As an Analyst in our Securities Valuation team, you will be responsible to capture and validate security prices that are used to calculate and submit a mutual fund's Net Assets Value (NAV) for a number of clients. you will be spending your time for analyzing pricing movements against market expectations and liaising with pricing vendors to resolve issues and minimize risks associated with it by adopting process improvement attitude. You would be the perfect fit for us if you have great attention to details, ability to deliver time sensitive tasks, and have a passion to move forward solutions across organizational boundaries.
Roles and Responsibilities
  • Daily price capture & validation of all investment types. Analyze asset valuation movements on a daily basis.
  • Analyze price movements against market expectations. Review of price confirmation to ensure validated prices are published accurately
  • Complete all daily, monthly, and ad-hoc tasks and reporting as required accurately and to deadline.
  • Understand the effect that changes in prices and other data elements have on the market value of an account and be sensitive to these changes
  • Investigation of pricing inquiries from business partners and resolve client queries; vendors
  • Identifying control gaps and quality deficiencies and look to implement tactical and strategic solutions to prevent re-occurrence
  • Support audit requests through evidence retrieval and review of pricing activities

Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills
  • Bachelor degree with preference in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Engineering or related field with 1-2 years industry experience
  • Analytical/problem solving skills and attention to detail. Ability to trouble shoot exceptions and issues quickly to avoid market exposure
  • Self-motivated and proactive with the ability to work in a team and work accurately and under pressure to meet deadlines
  • The role holder will be required to operate flexible working hours to cover early starts and/or late finishes as demanded by the business
  • MS Excel skills, including pivot tables and v-look ups
  • Demonstrate ability to effectively communicate within a team environment and interact across departments. Demonstrate customer focus and follow-up skills

Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills
  • Knowledge of industry activities, particularly corporate actions, index tracking, stock markets, and fixed income products
  • One plus years asset Pricing or NAV/ Fund accounting experience, preferred but not required
  • Pricing vendor knowledge, i.e. Pricing Direct, Bloomberg, Reuters
