The Fund Operations Analyst is responsible for administering DoubleLine's Intermediary Oversight program and coordinating the firm's relationships with financial intermediaries supporting its registered investment products. This role is responsible for intermediary onboarding, ongoing due diligence, contractual agreement administration, shareholder servicing and Sub-TA fee oversight, and transfer agent oversight activities. Working cross-functionally with Legal, Compliance, Fund Operations, the Distributor, Transfer Agent, and other internal stakeholders, the Analyst helps ensure intermediary relationships are effectively administered and servicing arrangements comply with contractual and regulatory requirements. The position also supports Board reporting, service provider oversight, operational reporting, and process improvement initiatives related to intermediary and transfer agent activities.


Job Functions

  • Administer and support DoubleLine’s Intermediary Oversight Group, a cross-department team that oversees Intermediary Relationships.
  • Assist with Board reporting related to intermediary oversight activities.
  • Coordinate intermediary onboarding, due diligence, and ongoing oversight activities in partnership with Legal, Compliance, the Transfer Agent, Distributor, and other internal stakeholders.
  • Manage the execution and implementation of selling agreements, shareholder servicing agreements, Sub-TA agreements, and related amendments.
  • Serve as an escalation point of contact for intermediary-related inquiries and issue resolution.
  • Oversee shareholder servicing (Sub-TA), administrative servicing, and other intermediary compensation payments; coordinate payment with external vendors, Distributor and DoubleLine Accounts Payable department.
  • Monitor intermediary servicing fee arrangements to ensure consistency with contractual obligations and participate in industry benchmarking surveys (e.g., Barrington Partners, ICI) to evaluate DoubleLine's servicing fee arrangements against industry practices.
  • Maintain policies, procedures, operational documentation, and intermediary records to support internal governance, audits, and regulatory examinations.
  • Support the day-to-day oversight of the Funds' transfer agent and other third-party service providers, including issue resolution, operational changes, and periodic service reviews.
  • Investigate and resolve day-to-day operational items relating to TA functions and identify and implement process improvements and draft procedures.
  • Support internal teams with commingled fund reporting and data related to Intermediary relationships and direct TA services.
Qualifications
  • 3+ years of experience in any of the following:
    • Mutual Fund Operations
    • Transfer Agency
    • Fund Administration
    • Financial Intermediary Oversight
    • Distributor Operations
    • Shareholder Servicing
  • Experience working with omnibus intermediaries is preferred.
  • Strong understanding of:
    • Mutual fund distribution
    • Financial intermediary operating models
    • Shareholder servicing (Sub-TA), 12b-1 distribution and revenue share arrangements
    • Omnibus accounts
    • Transfer agency operations
    • NSCC Networking and Fund/SERV; DTCC Mutual Fund Profile I and II
    • Familiarity with intermediary due diligence and oversight frameworks, including FICCA, is preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office products, particularly Excel and Power BI.

Base Salary Range

The estimated base salary range for this position is $90,000 - $110,000. In addition to base salary, this position is eligible for an annual discretionary bonus, plus a comprehensive benefits package.
