About this role

This Analyst role based in New York will be a pivotal member of the global Social Impact team focusing on employee programs but working across the team.  We believe our employees are one of our greatest resources to drive meaningful change in our communities and develop programming to support their impact. Employee Engagement is responsible for the firm’s Community (Gives) Grant program, Social Impact Campaigns, Board Service Programs, Disaster Relief efforts and the firm’s Matching program. We are seeking a candidate with a curious mind who is naturally collaborative, possessing exceptional project management skills, strong analytical capabilities and attention to detail, and the ability to balance multiple priorities and stakeholders.   

Responsibilities

  • Reports to Director, Social Impact while also providing general support for NY based-team leadership

  • Project manage select employee engagement programs, including global campaigns and Board service

  • Conduct research/diligence on current and prospective grantees

  • Undertake benchmarking and landscape analysis as needed

  • Craft compelling communications to inspire employee participation, including development of presentations representing the impact of Social Impact’s work

  • Utilize BlackRock’s Matching Gift/Time platform (Benevity) to pull and analyze data to support businesses and offices as they develop their own philanthropic goals

  • Liaise with BlackRock’s Communications and Marketing teams to highlight employee contributions and provide content for the firm’s storytelling efforts

  • Support disaster relief efforts by conducting research and diligence on response efforts and setting up matching campaigns.

  • Assist with event management and execution

Requirements / Desired Skills

  • 1-2 years of professional work experience

  • Ability to set priorities when working across multiple projects answering to multiple stakeholders, across multiple geographies

  • Strong project management skills and keen attention to detail

  • Adept at learning new technology/systems (Benevity) and comfort utilizing Excel and PowerPoint

  • Experience in social sector/nonprofit or Social Impact function is not required

  • Self-starter who is results driven and possesses a high degree of initiative

For New York, NY Only the salary range for this position is USD$85,500.00 - USD$105,000.00 . Additionally, employees are eligible for an annual discretionary bonus, and benefits including healthcare, leave benefits, and retirement benefits. BlackRock operates a pay-for-performance compensation philosophy and your total compensation may vary based on role, location, and firm, department and individual performance.
