Disney Entertainment’s Direct to Consumer (DTC) team oversees the Hulu and Disney+ streaming
businesses, helping to bring The Walt Disney Company’s best-in-class storytelling to fans and families everywhere.
The DTC Strategy team supports DTC and Disney leadership in driving profitable growth and innovation by collaborating with stakeholders across the business to provide market intelligence,
identify opportunities, and deliver actionable strategies and business plans. The team’s activities and accomplishments have contributed to the growth and success of the streaming business. Examples of work the group has led recently include:
Developing novel growth strategies for Disney+ and Hulu (e.g., product innovation and
feature prioritization, content investment, tiering strategy, international, etc.)
Assessing partnership and M&A opportunities
Assessing opportunities for growth acceleration across international markets
Benchmarking marketplace and competitor trends
Creating executive presentations for the Board of Directors and the investor community (e.g.,
earnings call preparations, Investor Day)
Responsibilities:
Structure and build complex financial models to inform decision making across a variety of projects, including new business development opportunities and growth strategies.
Analyze data across both internal and external sources to derive relevant business insights.
Create presentations to summarize key insights and recommendations for streaming leadership and broader Disney leadership team.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree from a top tier university
1-2 years of experience at a top tier investment bank, consulting firm, or comparable corporate strategy/development group
Advanced technical skills in Excel and PowerPoint, with experience in financial modeling
Analytical mindset and ability to structure ambiguous problems
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal)
Passion for streaming entertainment and technology
Preferred Qualifications:
Prior experience in entertainment
