About this role

Business Overview:

The Mission Control team within Aladdin Platforms is responsible for monitoring, supporting, and administering production environments for all BlackRock businesses (including subsidiaries and BlackRock Solutions clients). The scope of responsibility covers but is not limited to building and supporting key ServiceNow modules leveraged across the firm, developing Observability solutions for monitoring and alerting, and contributing to business-critical batch orchestrators and data transfer services.

Role Responsibility

  • Designing, coding, testing, and supporting reliable, robust software applications and services with high-quality standards.

  • Toolset Development: Create, maintain and enhance software and applications.

  • Performing code reviews and providing timely feedback to other engineers.

  • Supporting observability platforms such as Splunk, Grafana to ensure they scale for the firms needs and using them to conduct analysis on system performance, root cause diagnostics, and systems’/applications’ design to understand and improve the operating quality of production environments.

  • Developing and modifying ServiceNow catalogs, workflows, forms, lists, business rules, UI components etc.

  • Collaborating with product owners and stakeholder on the right units of work to be included during sprint planning.

  • Communications: Engaging in clear and concise communication both verbally and in writing. Ability to represent the team in calls with different stakeholders and gathering feedback to be relayed back to other developers in the team.

Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Technology, Engineering, or a related field.

  • 1+ years of software development experience in JavaScript, Python or Core Java (Spring Framework).

Skills & Experience:

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.

  • Ability to work under pressure and take ownership of software delivery.

  • Ability to work with teams spread across geographies.

  • Possess a positive attitude and ability to work as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

  • Be curious and flexible, pay keen attention to detail, use critical thinking and drive innovation.

  • Continually learn new technologies.

  • Good to have experience with Agile development concepts and related tools.

  • Good to have experience with Object oriented programming concepts & relational or NoSQL database.

For Wilmington, DE Only the salary range for this position is USD$90,250.00 - USD$110,000.00 . Additionally, employees are eligible for an annual discretionary bonus, and benefits including heath care, leave benefits, and retirement benefits. BlackRock operates a pay-for-performance compensation philosophy and your total compensation may vary based on role, location, and firm, department and individual performance.
