An established U.S.-based e-commerce retailer specializing in high-quality fabrics sells through its own Shopify site and major marketplaces including Amazon, Michaels, Walmart, eBay, and Etsy. Operating for over nine years with 20+ team members and facilities in North Carolina, they handle a fast-moving, extensive catalog of fabrics and notions. The company is growing its marketplace operations and needs deeper Amazon expertise to improve accuracy and speed to market.
Why does this role exist?
The business needs an experienced Amazon specialist who can create product listings from scratch and prevent costly errors that have impacted customer experience and profitability. With frequent, time-sensitive fabric collections that aren’t reorderable, the team needs swift, accurate listing creation and reliable inventory sync across channels. This role exists to own Amazon listing excellence, extend those best practices to Walmart and Michaels, and support smooth operations across Shopify, Finale Inventory, and ShipStation.
The Impact you’ll make
Amazon listing ownership
- Build complete Amazon listings from scratch (titles, bullets/descriptions, pricing, images, specs) aligned to Amazon requirements and best practices
- Select correct categories/attributes, set up parent-child variations, and optimize keywords while maintaining compliance
- Proactively prevent/resolve listing errors, suppressions, and catalog conflicts
Multi-marketplace expansion (Walmart, Michaels; support eBay/Etsy as needed)
- Translate Amazon listing data to Walmart and Michaels requirements and maintain listing health
- Ensure content consistency, pricing accuracy, and timely updates across marketplaces
- Monitor marketplace policies to keep listings compliant
Inventory accuracy and catalog operations
- Coordinate listing data with Finale Inventory to keep stock levels and product data in sync
- Minimize oversells/stockouts and maintain correct SKU mapping across channels
- Partner with the team to rapidly list time-sensitive collections and one-off items
Shopify and fulfillment support
- Assist with product updates and basic catalog tasks on Shopify
- Support order/label flow with ShipStation to ensure accurate handoff from listings to fulfillment
- Flag process gaps; suggest and implement improvements
Quality control and continuous improvement
- Create and maintain SOPs/checklists to reduce listing and pricing errors
- Track and report listing throughput, error rates, and resolution times
- Share marketplace updates and best practices with the broader team
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
Required:
- Proven experience creating Amazon product listings from scratch in Seller Central (not just editing)
- Demonstrated end-to-end setup of new ASINs, including variations and attribute mapping
- Hands-on experience managing listings on at least one additional marketplace (Walmart and/or Michaels preferred)
- Experience with an inventory management system (Finale Inventory or similar)
- Working knowledge of Shopify for product/catalog updates

- Technical: Amazon Seller Central (new ASIN creation, variations, flat files/UI), Walmart/Michaels listing workflows, Shopify, Finale Inventory (or similar), ShipStation
- Operational: Impeccable attention to detail; strong data hygiene; fast, accurate execution at scale
- Compliance/quality: Up-to-date on marketplace requirements; proactive in preventing listing/pricing mistakes
- Collaboration: Clear communicator; comfortable coordinating with a distributed team and owner-operator
- Domain: Familiarity with fabric/textile products and attributes is a plus

- Computer with at least 8GB RAM, an Intel i5 core processor/AMD Ryzen 5 Processor and up.
- Internet speed of at least 40MBPS
- Headset with an extended mic that has noise cancellation and a webcam
