The AI Transformation Program Manager will be a key member of HubSpot’s Finance Transformation team, leading high impact AI initiatives that automate Finance processes using AI agents, bots, and intelligent workflow solutions. This role sits at the center of Finance, Technology, and functional process teams, leading initiatives that modernize core Finance operations, reduce manual effort and unlock strategic capacity across the Finance Organization..

You will own AI-enabled transformation projects from discovery through adoption, partnering closely with Finance Systems, Engineering, FinTech Integration, Data, and functional SMEs across P2P, Payroll, QTC, Accounting, Internal Audit, and FP&A. You will be responsible for conducting end-to-end process walkthroughs, gathering business requirements, managing change, and guiding teams through the adoption of AI-powered automation solutions.

This role requires strong Finance process knowledge, experience with modern AI technologies, structured program and project management discipline, and the ability to influence and drive change in a fast-moving environment.

Responsibilities

  1. Develop and maintain a Finance AI roadmap, including opportunity sizing, prioritization, and business case development.
  2. Lead end-to-end Finance process automation initiatives using AI agents, bots, and intelligent workflow tools, with a focus on high-volume transactional areas such as invoice processing, contract lifecycle management, SOX testing, collections, accruals, and monthly close tasks.
  3. Conduct detailed current-state process analysis and Gemba walkthroughs, collaborating with functional stakeholders to identify inefficiencies and automation opportunities.
  4. Gather, document, and validate detailed business requirements, partnering with Finance teams to complete BRDs and facilitate clear scope definition for AI solution design (aligned with the Transformation PM best practices).
  5. Lead cross-functional project planning, discovery, design, and implementation, collaborating with Tech teams (AI Engineers, FinTech Integration Specialists, RPA/Automation specialists) to evaluate, select, and deploy AI solutions.
  6. Drive change management, including communication plans, stakeholder alignment, training, and adoption strategies to ensure successful rollout of AI-enabled transformations.
  7. Establish KPIs and success metrics for automation initiatives, measure ROI, and track time savings, accuracy improvements, compliance enhancements, and reduced manual workloads.
  8. Identify risks and develop mitigation strategies in partnership with audit and compliance teams, ensuring solutions meet regulatory and control requirements.
  9. Support governance processes for Finance AI, including adherence to data governance for reliable AI performance, solution approval frameworks, controls, regulatory and SOX compliance, and audit documentation..
  10. Partner with Finance Systems, Business Systems Engineering, and Data teams to ensure seamless integration of AI automation across systems such as Workday, NetSuite, Coupa, ServiceNow, FloQast, and other enterprise applications.

Requirements

  1. Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Information Systems, or related field.
  2. 6–10+ years of experience in Finance transformation, Finance operations, program management, or technology-enabled process improvement roles.
  3. Demonstrated experience leading AI-enabled or automation-focused implementations (AI agents, ML-driven tools, RPA, workflow automation platforms, etc.) for Finance functions.
  4. Strong understanding of end-to-end Finance processes—particularly P2P, QTC, Accounting close, Payroll, and SOX—and the ability to quickly assess process gaps and automation potential.
  5. Proven track record of driving large-scale transformation initiatives from inception through implementation, delivering measurable results and value creation.
  6. Strong project management skills with experience in cross-functional coordination, requirements documentation, roadmap planning, and managing dependencies and risks.
  7. Demonstrated ability to influence stakeholders, drive alignment across Finance and Technology teams, and manage change in complex environments.
  8. Familiarity with AI and automation technologies (e.g., Workato Agentic AI, RPA, AI tools embedded within Finance systems (NetSuite, Anaplan, Coupa, etc.).
  9. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to translate technical AI capabilities into business outcomes and process improvements.
  10. Knowledge of controls, compliance requirements, and governance frameworks for Finance technology implementations.

Pay & Benefits

The cash compensation below includes base salary, on-target commission for employees in eligible roles, and annual bonus targets under HubSpot’s bonus plan for eligible roles. In addition to cash compensation, some roles are eligible to participate in HubSpot’s equity plan to receive restricted stock units (RSUs). Some roles may also be eligible for overtime pay. Individual compensation packages are tailored to your skills, experience, qualifications, and other job-related reasons.

Annual Cash Compensation Range:
$118,500$189,600 USD
