Own full-cycle recruiting for forward-deployed engineering and leadership roles across the US. Source passive AI and technical talent through LinkedIn, GitHub, communities, referrals, and talent mapping. Build Provectus’s talent community through meetups, workshops, hackathons, university programs, and industry events. Partner with hiring managers and senior leadership on hiring criteria, workforce planning, compensation benchmarking, candidate experience, and offer negotiation.

About the Role:

The hiring problem you'd be solving

We build AI systems that enterprises run their business on. Production systems inside banks, insurers, and health systems, where our engineers embed with the client, learn the work, and own the outcome. We call them Forward Deployed Engineers and Forward Deployed Executives. These people hold design conversations with a Chief Data Officer on Tuesday and ship to production next Monday.

We are hiring a Recruiter to help us scale our FDE/FDX, Product, and GTM teams. Beyond filling roles, you will help build the community around Provectus. You'd own our US talent community strategy.

Five open reqs at a time, none of them generic. We would rather you run five properly than twenty badly.

Location: Hybrid, New York: 2-3 days onsite
    Type: Full-time (W2) or contract

What You'll Do:

  • Full-cycle hiring across the US for Forward Deployed Engineers (software, AI/ML, architects, leads), Forward Deployed Executives, Product Owners, and Business Development Managers. Intake to offer.

  • Direct sourcing as the primary channel. LinkedIn, GitHub, community channels, referrals. Passive candidates doing the most consequential AI work, not the ones already looking. You'll build and keep the talent maps for these profiles in financial services, insurance, healthcare, and life sciences.

  • Partnership with the hiring managers. You'll run calibration with them and bring market data when a scorecard doesn't match what exists.

  • Architect and execute Provectus's talent community strategy in the US. Meetups, workshops, hackathons, university programs, and the AI/ML communities our candidates actually spend time in, so the engineers we want know who we are before we reach out. You don't need to have run events before. You need to want to help with that, and there's a budget and support from marketing when you do.

  • The US hiring picture. Talent market intelligence, compensation benchmarking, and how we position Provectus against the companies competing for the same engineers.

What you'll bring:

  • 2+ years of full-cycle recruiting, ideally somewhere technical, fast-moving, or consulting-shaped
  • Proven track record hiring senior technical profiles — AI/ML engineers, software engineers, architects, or consulting leaders
  • Direct sourcing as a real skill. You can build a market map from scratch and write outreach a senior engineer actually answers.
  • You already use AI in your own workflow. Come ready to show us what and how. This is one place where being early in your career is often an advantage.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Highly organized and comfortable with ambiguity in a distributed, global team
  • Based in the New York / New Jersey area and able to be onsite [2-3] days a week
  • Nice to have: experience at a consultancy or embedded delivery model, GTM or sales hiring, prior event or community building.

    Where this goes:

This is a growing US function. The person who does this well takes on more of the community mandate, more senior searches, and a path toward owning the US talent function. We'll talk about that trajectory.

What We Offer:

  • Direct impact on Provectus's growth in the US market with direct visibility to leadership.
  • Access to the Provectus Learning Hub, Claude Code certification support, and access to Anthropic's frontier models as part of our Strategic Partnership
  • Collaborative culture that rewards ownership, curiosity, and continuous learning
  • B2B contract model or Full-time W2 model.
  • OTE range $100-140k. Final offer reflects experience, skills, and market data.
  • Health, vision, and dental insurance; 401(k) matching; unlimited vacation; 401(K) matching plan (in case W2).

About Provectus:

Provectus is an AWS Premier Partner and an Anthropic Strategic Partner working at the front edge of applied AI. We help enterprises turn Claude, agentic systems, and their own data into measurable outcomes through bespoke applications, managed services, and advisory work. We focus on Financial Services & Insurance and Healthcare & Life Sciences, with offices across North America, LATAM, and EMEA.

Hiring process:

    1. 30-minute intro call with Head of Talent Acquisition
    2. 60-minute deep dive into your experience and a conversation about one of our live reqs and how you'd approach that market
    3. 30-minute call with a Head of People Operations
    4. On-site meeting with the CEO

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
