Role Description

This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing team at the forefront of AI development and adoption in ecommerce. You will be responsible for identifying and developing business opportunities, driving adoption of our AI-powered ecommerce platform, and managing client relationships through a consultative, outcomes-focused approach. At its core, this role is about understanding how businesses use data to make decisions — and translating complex workflows into AI capabilities and into clear business value that gives clients a measurable competitive edge

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end sales initiatives, including prospecting, qualification, negotiation, and deal closing to consistently achieve and exceed sales targets
  • Engage prospective clients through impactful presentations, strategic networking, and proactive outreach
  • Present AI-driven solutions and proof of concepts to non-technical stakeholders, translating technical capabilities into compelling business value
  • Build and maintain strong long-term client relationships, ensuring high satisfaction and retention throughout the adoption journey
  • Prepare tailored proposals and solution recommendations aligned to specific client needs and business objectives
  • Collaborate closely with product and technical teams to ensure solutions are positioned accurately and delivered successfully — from initial pitch through to adoption at scale

Qualifications

  • 3–5 years of proven success in AI product management, data/AI technical pre-sales, or solutions consulting with a track record of closing deals preferably within SaaS, AI, ecommerce, or data analytics sectors
  • Strong ability to convey complex AI and data concepts clearly and compellingly to diverse audiences — from Marketing Directors and E-commerce VPs to CEOs and technical leads such as CTOs
  • Expertise in consultative selling, including prospecting, qualification, negotiation, and closing — with the ability to position AI solutions against specific client pain points
  • Familiarity with the ecommerce technology landscape and how AI can be applied across them
  • Sufficient understanding of AI concepts such as agents, RAG pipelines, LLMs, and API integrations
  • Comfortable moving fast, learning new AI capabilities as they emerge, and doing what it takes to support a compelling pitch
  • Ability to work effectively across cross-functional teams, acting as the bridge between client needs and technical delivery.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Technology, or a related field
  • Proficiency in English.

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
