HSI is seeking a Product Manager to lead the strategy, roadmap, and delivery of AI-powered experiences across our products and platform. We're looking for a product leader with experience building SaaS products, partnering closely with engineering teams, and translating customer needs into impactful solutions. The ideal candidate actively leverages AI tools to improve productivity, prototype ideas, accelerate learning, and enhance decision-making.

While experience building AI-powered features is valuable, this is not a machine learning or data science role. We are looking for a strong Product Manager who can identify opportunities to create customer value through AI and help bring those solutions to market.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own product strategy, roadmap, and execution for AI-powered product initiatives.
  • Partner closely with engineering, UX, and business stakeholders to deliver customer-facing solutions.
  • Conduct customer research and gather feedback to identify opportunities for product innovation and improvement.
  • Translate customer and business needs into clear product requirements and priorities.
  • Lead products through the full lifecycle from discovery and planning through launch and iteration.
  • Prioritize initiatives based on customer impact, business value, and technical feasibility.
  • Drive adoption and continuous improvement through data, customer insights, and measurable outcomes.
  • Collaborate with teams to design and deliver AI-enabled features, workflows, and user experiences.
  • Evaluate emerging technologies and identify opportunities to create business and customer value through AI.
  • Use AI tools to enhance product research, documentation, analysis, prototyping, and execution.

What Success Looks Like

  • Measurable customer value and adoption
  • High-quality, reliable AI features that continuously improve
  • MCP evolves into a scalable, differentiated platform capability
  • Increased product development velocity and insight generation through effective use of AI

Requirements
  • 5+ years of Product Management experience in a SaaS environment.
  • Proven experience owning product strategy, roadmaps, and feature prioritization.
  • Experience partnering closely with software engineering teams to deliver customer-facing products.
  • Strong customer discovery, research, and requirements gathering experience.
  • Experience translating customer feedback and business goals into product decisions.
  • Demonstrated ability to balance customer needs, business objectives, and technical constraints.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Excellent communication and cross-functional leadership abilities.
  • Active user of AI tools such as ChatGPT, Copilot, Claude, or similar technologies in your day-to-day work.

Preferred

  • Experience building or managing AI-enabled product capabilities.
  • Familiarity with technologies such as LLMs, conversational AI, workflow automation, RAG, or agent-based systems.
  • Experience rapidly prototyping ideas using AI-powered, low-code, or no-code tools.
  • Experience working in Agile product development environments.

Benefits
  • Fully Remote Work: Work where you're most productive—we trust you.
  • Unlimited PTO: Recharge when you need to—we support work-life balance.
  • Career Growth: Unlimited access to our Learning & Development library, including our own HSI LMS content.
  • Well-Being First: Full medical, dental, vision, and mental health coverage.
  • Secure Your Future: Generous $1:$1 401(k) company match—your future is important to us.
  • This position has an annual salary range of $100K-$125K. Placement within the range will depend on experience, qualifications, and other business considerations.

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
