About AppDirect

Become a digital, global citizen and enable the new generation of digital entrepreneurs around the world. AppDirect offers a subscription commerce platform to sell any product, through any channel, on any device - as a service. We power millions of subscriptions worldwide for organizations. We do this by our values-driven culture - one that enables you to Be Seen, Be Yourself, and Do Your Best Work.

About You

You are a multimedia creative who has embraced AI as a production superpower. You know how to take a creative vision and bring it to life — across video, motion, static, and animation — using the best AI tools available to move faster and reach higher than traditional production allows. You have done this before, you have the work to show for it, and you are ready to build it properly inside a brand that is going through a significant creative and commercial moment.

This is not a role for someone who dabbles in AI on the side. You are fluent across the current generation of AI creative tools, you stay ahead of what is emerging, and you know how to produce output that looks like it belongs to a brand — not just output that looks impressive in isolation.

Working directly with the Head of Brand Marketing and in close collaboration with the design team, you will be the production force behind a new demand generation and brand campaigns. You will own the end-to-end creation of AI-assisted marketing assets across every channel including paid ads, TV streaming commercials, social ads, and more.

What You’ll Do and How You’ll Make an Impact

Campaign Production

  • Produce high-quality AI-assisted creative assets across the full channel mix: Google Ads, Meta Ads, display, carousels, static banners, GIFs, and motion graphics
  • Create demo videos, explainer content, and TV/streaming commercials using AI video generation tools combined with traditional editing
  • Execute across multiple formats and aspect ratios simultaneously, maintaining visual consistency and brand fidelity throughout
  •  Iterate quickly based on creative direction, testing feedback, and campaign performance data

Motion, Video & Animation

  •  Drive video and animation production using AI generation tools (Runway, Kling, Hailuo or equivalent) alongside traditional editing in After Effects, Premiere, or equivalent
  • Create motion graphics, animated ads, and short-form video content that serves both performance marketing and brand storytelling goals
  • Produce demo and product videos that bring the capabilities of devs.ai and AppDirect to life in compelling, accessible ways

Brand-Consistent AI Workflows

  • Build and maintain prompt systems and generation frameworks that consistently produce on-brand results — not just technically impressive ones
  • Develop reusable creative templates and asset libraries that extend the team’s production capacity over time
  • Stay ahead of the AI tool landscape, evaluating and adopting new platforms as they emerge

Collaboration

  • Work closely with designers, writers, and demand generation partners as an integrated member of the brand team
  • Bring a collaborative, ego-free approach to shared projects — you are here to elevate the team’s output, not to be the only one who can produce it

What We’re Looking For

  • A portfolio that demonstrates AI-assisted creative production for commercial or marketing use — we want to see range, quality, and brand-consciousness, not just technical novelty
  • Hands-on experience with AI video and image generation tools: Runway, Kling, Midjourney, Firefly, Flux, Ideogram, or current equivalents
  • Strong video editing and motion design skills — After Effects, Premiere Pro, CapCut, or equivalent
  • Fluency in prompt engineering: you know how to get consistent, controllable, brand-right results, not just lucky ones
  • Ability to produce across multiple formats and channels simultaneously without losing visual coherence
  • Genuine aesthetic judgment and brand sensibility — you know the difference between beautiful and brand-right
  • Awareness of the legal and rights considerations around AI-generated content in paid advertising contexts
  • Comfort working in fast-moving, sprint-style production environments
  • Experience with LoRA training or model fine-tuning for brand consistency is a plus
  • Background in traditional motion design, animation, or video production is a plus
  • Experience producing creative for B2B or developer-focused products is a plus
  • Comfort working in fast-moving, sprint-style production environments

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
