The Role  

Step into an exhilarating role on our AI Engineering Team, where you'll architect and deploy groundbreaking machine learning (ML) and AI solutions that propel our organization forward. You'll be the driving force behind scalable ML models and cloud-based AI platforms, optimized for high-performance data pipelines that enable lightning-fast training and inference. But that's just the start, you'll pioneer agentic AI systems, orchestrating multi-agent workflows that leverage sub-agents for tasks like semantic search, data retrieval, and automated analysis, all integrated with ontology-driven knowledge bases for intelligent, persistent insights.

Collaborate with visionary research, product, and cross-functional teams to infuse the latest ML and generative AI advancements - like large language models (LLMs), recommendation engines, and agentic platforms, into our products and services. You'll craft personalized AI experiences, evolve reference architectures for cloud-native AI/ML, and ensure they embody cutting-edge standards. Plus, you'll champion the adoption of these technologies’ organization-wide, empowering leaders and teams to slash costs, spark new revenue, and dominate markets - all while upholding top-tier quality, security, and compliance.

By weaving in agentic elements like sub-task orchestration, Knowledge Nodes for capturing and reusing insights, and artifact management for seamless workflows, you'll help deliver transformative products that redefine what's possible and secure our competitive edge.

Key Responsibilities: 

• Assist in developing and deploying machine learning (ML) models to improve applicant generation and ranking for multimodal feed recommendations (e.g., image, text), and participate in applied ML research to enhance model performance.
• Collaborate with research, engineering, and product teams to help integrate new ML innovations into feed products and services, contributing to improved user experiences.
• Support the implementation of advanced personalization features and exploration capabilities, helping to drive improvements in product metrics and user engagement.
• Contributes to the design and development of scalable frontend and backend solutions, following best practices in technical design, test automation, and code quality.
• Help optimize ML models and data pipelines to ensure robust and efficient operations for first-party products and services.
• Work with cross-functional teams—including program managers, data engineers, data scientists, and business analysts—to support the integration and execution of AI/ML solutions and assist in resolving system issues.
• Participate in cloud engineering projects to help enable scalable ML platforms for training and deploying cloud-based AI/ML solutions, focusing on performance and security.
• Support the integration and deployment of generative AI solutions using cloud-based models, contributing to innovation in new and existing products.
• Assist in delivering scalable ML solutions on Google Cloud, helping to identify and validate deployment configurations for optimal performance and resource use.
• Contribute to the design and maintenance of reference architectures and frameworks that support diverse AI/ML workloads.
• Support the development and deployment of personalized large language models (LLMs) to enhance search and recommendation systems and participate in research on emerging LLM techniques.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to help integrate LLMs into products and services, ensuring new technologies are effectively leveraged.
• Assist in executing roadmaps for search and personalization initiatives and help build partnerships with internal and external stakeholders to drive innovation in AI/ML projects.

Qualifications: 

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, Data Science, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Experience in AI engineering, with a strong focus on the development and deployment of Machine Learning (ML) models and cloud-based AI/ML solutions.
• Track record in leading the integration, design, and optimization of scalable ML models, data pipelines, and cloud infrastructure for AI applications.
• Demonstrated experience in working with cross-functional teams and collaborating with business leaders and colleagues to drive strategic AI initiatives and achieve business objectives.
• Strong expertise in cloud engineering, including enabling ML platforms for training, deployment, and the establishment of generative AI solutions using cloud-based models.

Preferred Qualifications: 

• Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, or a related field or equivalent practical experience.
• Experience in leading the development and deployment of personalized large language models (LLMs) and generative AI solutions across diverse applications.
• In-depth understanding of AI/ML frameworks, reference architectures, and best practices for cloud-based AI systems, with a focus on scalability, performance, and security.
• Demonstrated ability to conduct applied research in ML and LLM techniques, driving innovation and enhancing product offerings.
• Knowledge of AI/ML governance, ensuring that AI initiatives adhere to the highest standards of trust, transparency, safety, and security.
• Experience in driving collaboration across research, engineering, and product teams to integrate AI breakthroughs into products and services, while aligning with the organization’s strategic vision.

Compensation 

The expected hourly rate for this role is $43.27/hour.
